SCC ROTC UNIT

December 14, 2025, the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Unit of Southern Capital Colleges, conducted ROTC training at SCC Annex, Brgy Talic, Oroquieta City.

We have a blood letting activity held in SCC Annex BRGY TALIC, OROQUIETA CITY. The ROTC CADETS donates blood for those who needs blood transfusion. They undergo screening to see if they are qualified as a blood donor. Donating blood is a lifesaving act that offers numerous benefits to recipients, including saving lives, replenishing blood supply and promotes health. Donating blood is a noble act in ROTC CADETS. It showcases their commitment to service and humanitarian values.

Held at the Dr. Aurelio M. Mendoza Memorial Sports Center

The celebration opened with a parade, followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the Board of Directors, Administration, and Guests of Honor, along with the Arrival Honors for CPT Rufino N. Velasco (OS), PA ROTC Commander.

A special highlight of the event was the impressive performance of the SCC ROTC Cadette, showcasing their dedication and discipline during the Pass in Review after days of whole-day practice.

Salute to the SCC ROTC Officers and Cadette for their hard work, commitment, and excellence—your efforts made this celebration a true success.

𝙎𝘾𝘾 𝙍𝙊𝙏𝘾 𝘾𝘼𝘿𝙀𝙏𝙎 𝙋𝙍𝙀𝙋𝘼𝙍𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝙁𝙊𝙐𝙉𝘿𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝘿𝘼𝙔

ON NOVEMBER 15, 2025. The Southern Capital Colleges ROTC Unit, under the leadership of MAJ ROMEO O. MALIG-ON (RES) PA, Assistant Commandant, and with support from MSGT RUEL L URSAL (Inf) PA of the 903rd Community Defense Center.

The day started with flag ceremony, general cleaning, platoon inspection and checking the attendance of the ROTC CADETS to uphold discipline.

ROTC CADETS have undergo five days whole day training in executing rifle and basic marchings. The drum corps also performs instruments. By honing their abilities through rigorous training, they aim to showcase their dedication and readiness for the event.

Successful Symposium on Information Awareness Campaign SY 2025

On October 24, 2025, the Civil-Military Operations Regiment, Philippine Army, in coordination with OSAS, conducted a symposium on Information Awareness Campaign against Communist Terrorist Groups. The lecture on CTG Deceptive Recruitment Scheme and Anti-Terror Law by CPT FERNANDO M. BAYUGO (FS) PA CMO OFFICER 10LB, 1lD, PA was insightful and thought-provoking. The symposium also featured testimonies from friends rescued by Kuya Wing and Ka PE. And an Information Education Sea session on West Philippines Sea by MAJ JEFFREY P. PAGUIA (INF) PA OPNS & SUST OFFICER 1CMOBn, CMOR, PA and MAJ JOVER S. ONDOY delivered the closing remarks.

This initiative aims to prevent Communist Terrorist Groups from re-emerging, combat misinformation, and foster patriotism and volunteerism among the people of Misamis, ultimately empowering them to contribute to peace and nation-building efforts.
