🪑 Which chair are you sitting in?

Discipleship isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey—it’s a process of continuous growth! The 4 Chairs of Discipleship framework helps us understand where we are spiritually and how we can keep moving forward:

1️⃣ Chair 1: Seeker ("Come and See" - John 1:39) — Discovering truth and asking big questions.
2️⃣ Chair 2: Believer ("Follow Me" - John 1:43) — Building a foundation and learning to walk with God.
3️⃣ Chair 3: Worker ("Fish for People" - Matt 4:19) — Serving, sharing the Gospel, and stepping into ministry.
4️⃣ Chair 4: Disciple-Maker ("Go and Bear Fruit" - John 15:16) — Investing in others to multiply lives lived for Christ.

God calls us not just to sit, but to grow and help others move forward.

💬 Drop a comment: Which chair resonates most with where you are right now, or where you want to grow?

SUNDAY YOUTH FELLOWSHIP
June 14, 2026

1 Peter 1:15-16 : “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy.”

Reflection: God isn’t demanding that you become a flawless robot. He is calling you to realize that you have been set apart for a distinct purpose. We are made blameless only through Jesus so that one day we will present ourselves as Holy before the sight of God.

What do young people really think about death? 🤔

Death is oftentimes the farthest in your mind when you are young. You think more about your future and your dreams, not the end of your life.

But come to think of it, death is very real for us as Christians, and we have Jesus as our hope that just as He was raised from the dead, we will be raised as well in eternity. 🫶

How should this impact us today?
1. Knowing that death is very real and inevitable should drive us to live our lives as people who are set apart for the Lord, pursuing holiness, because one day we will face the Lord and be accountable for every action.

2. The reality of death should motivate us to pray for and share the gospel to our family and friends. Having that blessed assurance is the source of our hope and peace in this troubled world.

Join our youth fellowship every Sunday lunch and learn about life, death, and the in-between! 😊💛

As we talk about how Jesus is the Lamb who laid down His life for our redemption thousands of years ago, we reflect deeply on how this should still impact us today. We can’t stay the same.

We leave today’s fellowship with a challenge: what needs to change in our lives?

It could be as simple as waking up or sleeping early, being intentional about patience towards our family, or being mindful about how often we use our phones and where we spend our time online.

May the love of Christ continue to change us every day! 🫶

For this month’s joint fellowship, we tackled a very important topic for our youth and young adults: discipleship.

We went through what the Scripture teaches, involving sacrifice and denying oneself for the sake of leading others to Christ.

In just two days in the camp we were asked, "Do you truly belong to a biblical church? Are we still a church in awe of God?" And we're taught "How to be Christ-centered inside and out, developing a passion for the great commission." These questions were already asked of us before but it was like we were being reminded again. When we're serving, who is it all for? When we're at church, what are we preaching about? When we talk about scripture, what verses are we applying to ourselves?

There we relearned that we, as a biblical church, must be changed by conviction, resolved to conservation, and committed to continued devotion. Because our church is not a building, it is the people. People in awe of God. People there who are marked by reverence, moved to generosity, made for community, and multiplied by God. And again we are told how important it is to be Christ-centered. To let the peace, word, and name of Christ rule, reside and resound out of us all. The Youth is young so we need to start them young. We already know Christ and how we are saved, but what are we saved for? What is the mission of every church and every believer?

It is to submit to His kingly authority, prioritize making disciples, and see His promised presence at all times. Matthew 16:25 says "For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." The verse talks of dying to self and to one another, of sharing the gospel despite the odds against us, just like Jesus did in his time.

We've already known the good news, we are equipped with the knowledge. That Jesus died, got buried, and rose again for our sins. We are saved by Him. We are accountable for our sins while He's accountable for our salvation from sin.

To God be all the Glory!
