It was a successful Regular Monthly Meeting headed by Pres. Arnelia C. Arcuino together with the District Officers, Brgy. Officers, and some active members and representatives. The total attendees were 25 members.

The agenda was tackled about the following:
1. Treasurer's Report by Treas. Marlie Culong
2. Philhealth Konsulta Package and Update of Philhealth PWD Members by Auditor Romulo Jemenez Gerodias
3. Recap of Basic Sign Language Training by Vice Pres. Chona Parrilla
4. Distribution on T-shirts of District VI PWD Officers by Pres. Arnelia C. Arcuino.
5. Awarding to Early Bird and raffles by Pres. Arnelia C. Arcuino
5. Other concerns and matters.

We are so honored that our District Adviser Ms. Jocelyn Morilla, the former President of this Association giving inspirational messages to us to continue the service and to stand up even though we are all different types of disability.

We want to take gratitude to our President Arnelia for purchasing a uniform t-shirt for all officers. This is to be recognized as an officer in this Association.

And lastly, we want to thank all the participants who attended this meeting. Without you all, this can't be successful.

Not all disabilities are visible, meaning some disabilities are not immediately apparent to others. These "invisible disabilities" encompass a wide range of conditions, including mental health issues, learning disabilities, chronic pain, and more.

Invisible Disabilities:
Mental health conditions: Anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and autism spectrum disorder.

Learning disabilities: ADHD, dyslexia, and other cognitive impairments.

Chronic conditions: Chronic pain, fatigue, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases.

Other disabilities: Sensory processing difficulties, visual or hearing impairments, and various physical limitations.

Why are they "invisible"?
Not outwardly apparent:
Unlike disabilities like a wheelchair or white cane, these conditions don't always have visible signs.

Impact on daily life:
Even though they are not immediately visible, these conditions can significantly affect a person's ability to work, learn, and socialize.
Stigma and misunderstanding:
Because they are not visible, people with invisible disabilities may face challenges in gaining understanding and support from others.

Examples of Invisible Disabilities:

Mental health:
A person with anxiety may experience panic attacks, but this is not always outwardly visible.

Learning disability:
Someone with dyslexia may struggle with reading, but this can be difficult to detect.

Chronic pain:
A person with chronic pain may outwardly appear fine, but be experiencing severe pain.

Why it's important to recognize invisible disabilities:

Promote understanding and empathy:
By recognizing that not all disabilities are visible, we can better understand and support individuals with these conditions.
Create inclusive environments:
This understanding can lead to the creation of more inclusive workplaces, schools, and communities.

Reduce stigma and discrimination:
By acknowledging these disabilities, we can help reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with them.
