2025 BRIGADA ESKWELA

On June 14, 2025 Alpha Phi Omega Ormoc City Alumni Association - ORCA #4 participated once again in the regular annual Brigada Eskwela event at Ipil National High School. Members of APO-ORCAA led by President Sis. Carina Fran and VP-External Bro. Mel Dimzon joined the campus cleaning and turned-over various painting materials for the school through Ipil National High School-Ormoc City Division head Ms. Brenda Maroleรฑa and Brigada Eskwela School Coordinator Ms. Alona Apas.
IPNHS would also like to thank USC Alpha Phi Omega for the additional donated painting materials.

APO-ORCAA is also exploring the possibility of adopting a classroom that will be continuosly maintained by the organization by providing essential needs of the classroom, faculty member and its students.

Alpha Phi Omega members continuously creates Services even beyond the college life. The four fold program SERVICE in college are the following:

SERVICE to the Fraternity and Sorority
SERVICE to the Student body and Faculty
SERVICE to the Youth and Community
SERVICE to the Nation as fully-participating Citizen

In Alpha Phi Omega, we train the youth to be a good LEADER, to be a true FRIEND and to be of SERVICE.

December 16, 2024 - Alpha Phi Omega Ormoc City Alumni Association - ORCA #4 celebrated the 99th International Founding Anniversary with a series of events. The Fraternity's founding day started with a sponsored a mass of Thanksgiving at the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish. A motorcade transpired which started from Ormoc City Plaza going to the venue of the Chrismtas Gift Giving and Feeding which was held in Brgy. Esperanza. The beneficiaries of the said community service were about 130 elementary students of Esperanza Elementary school.

Fellowship was then celebrated at Pongos Hotel which was attended by Ormocanon APhiOs from different chapters within and outside of Ormoc City. It was also graced by APO-ORCA's past presidents namely Bro. Jonas Ruiz 70' Alpha Xi, Bro. Dr. Jeffrey Del Socorro 95' Eta Tau, Bro. Lester Bernardino 02' EVSU-OCC PC-150, Bro. Redentor Parilla 81' Eta Pi and current President Sis. Carina Fran 88' Mu Beta.

The SERVICE Accomplishments Update for Development Year 2024 was also presented by Bro. Mel Dimzon 03 Alpha Mu.

APO-ORCA was established in 1968 by organizer Bro. Mario Templado from Delta Chapter - Mapua Institute of Technology producing the Noble 14 batch which includes notable members, former Vice Mayor Bro. Nepomuceno "Nep-nep" Aparis (+) and Retired PNP General Fernando "Nanding" Pace. APO-ORCA Alumni Association became the 4th Chartered Alumni Association in the Philippines on December 2, 1980.

December 6, 2024 - Alpha Phi Omega Ormoc City Alumni Association - ORCA #4 successfully conducted Pre-Orientation Seminar for SNC Criminology students. The aim of the seminar is to introduce APO's rich history, how and why it was founded based on the scouting principles, how it came to the Philippines and specifically in Ormoc City. APO-Ormoc City was organized in 1968 where it boasts its pioneer batch "The Noble 14" which includes the late Vice-Mayor Bro. Nepomuceno "Nep-Nep" Aparis and retired PNP-HPG General Bro. Fernando "Nanding" Pace.
The officers and alumni of APO-ORCA also shared their respective experiences and how it shaped their lives through APO's 3 Cardinal Principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service.
