The ๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ - ๐๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ข limit (GC-SSC) convened its ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐๐ต ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป for Academic Year 2026โ2027 on October 13, 2026, at the SSC Office (Room 215). With 8 officers present establishing a quorum, the session was presided over by Chairperson Julier Samonte.
The body opened by approving the excerpts of the 3rd Regular Session minutes before addressing pressing student grievances. The council clarified LCUAA student-athlete allowances following BOT consultations and addressed concerns regarding student organization officers misusing authority. While the SSC lacks direct jurisdiction over separate student groups, the Committee on Student Groups (CSG) was tasked to conduct formal inquiries and recommend disciplinary measures to the Student Organization Unit Coordinator. Departmental grievances were also tackled, including merchandise issue resolutions in CCS and CBA, a female student safety report within CAHS, and faculty-related grievances raised by Midwifery students, both of which the council resolved to escalate directly to the College Administration and the Dean's Office for formal investigation.
Shifting to internal administrative tracking and 4th Quarter operations (OctoberโDecember 2026), standing committees were directed to submit formal status reports directly to the Secretariat. The council confirmed the cancellation of the proposed CCS Halloween Party, scheduled self-conducted office repainting and physical enhancements to the SSC Office, and instituted standard financial fines to enforce accountability. To ensure leadership continuity during Chairperson Samonte's off-campus OJT, Vice Chairperson Dhana Del Pradas was designated as Officer-in-Charge starting January 2027. Operational leads were assigned for upcoming projectsโincluding the Town Hall Meeting (Secretary Anthony Sabusap), the Bazaar (PIO Kean Clyde Flores & CBA Rep Rhey Villamor), the Income-Generating Project (Ms. Nadine Ann Casamorin), Luntiang Bayan (CHTM Rep Yoshi Yoneyama), and the Ginhawa exam-week booth (CAHS Rep Roner Umadhay).
In administrative and disciplinary proceedings, the council conducted plenary impeachment proceedings against incumbent Treasurer Prince David for failing to meet executive probationary measures following four administrative charges: unexcused duty absences, missed mandatory events, delayed financial document submissions, and persistent non-responsiveness. Voting via a two-thirds majority requirement, the body voted 7-0 with one abstention to formally impeach and remove Officer David, creating an immediate vacancy and voiding his SSC Leadership Award. CAHS Representative Roner Umadhay subsequently nominated Ms. Nadine Ann Casamorin, who was unanimously approved as the new SSC Treasurer for A.Y. 2026โ2027. To fill the resulting Auditor vacancy, nominations (including nominee Mr. Mark Erickson Faustino) were opened through October 16, 2026, ahead of an upcoming special selection meeting.
Finally, under other matters, the council outlined initial collaboration plans with the faculty association for the 28th Founding Anniversary concert and finalized logistical preparations for eleven delegates attending the YMCA Seminar-Workshop in Baguio City on December 5โ8, 2026.
The meeting officially adjourned at 6:30 PM, with the 5th Regular Session tentatively slated for November 6 or 7, 2026.
