The MIS Office proudly participated in the tree planting activity organized by SBMA - Ecology Center. Our environmental volunteers braved a 41-minute uphill hike to reach the reforestation site in Pastolan Village, demonstrating their commitment to environmental conservation. 🌳💚

The environmental warriors of the MIS Department took part at the clean-up drive hosted by the Support Services Group on May 28, 2026.

18th RCE

The MIS Department of SBMA actively participated in the 18th Recyclable Collection Event (RCE) organized by SBMA - Ecology Center.

MIS environmental advocates joined the Refill Revolution, Trash for Rice, and the Coastal Cleanup Drive as part of this year’s RCE celebration.

The MIS Department also received a certificate in recognition for being the top donor of recyclable waste during last year’s RCE.

MISO Joins Energy Conservation Efforts

In support of Memorandum Circular No. 114 issued by the Office of the President, the MIS Office actively participates in energy conservation efforts amid the surge in oil prices. The office has taken steps to reduce electricity consumption by turning off significant lighting appliances and maximizing the use of natural lighting within workspaces. This initiative reflects the office's commitment to responsible energy use and its contribution to nationwide efforts to conserve energy resources.

WORLD WETLANDS DAY CELEBRATION

The MIS Office participated in the World Wetlands Day Celebration dubbed as "Date with the Environment".

The SBMA - Ecology Center made a short lecture regarding the protected mangrove sites inside SBMA - their multiple locations, importance and ways to preserve and protect them.

The highlight of the event is the clean-up drive on the actual mangrove site of SBMA.
