The Online ROOTCON 20 CTF Qualifiers just wrapped up, and Team NullBytez managed to grab 11th place out of 32 competing teams with a total of 2081 points.

Looking back, we also participated in the ROOTCON 18 Qualifying CTF in 2024. We were complete beginners back then and only managed to solve no more than three challenges. At the time, just getting our name on the scoreboard felt like 'suntok sa buwan'.

Seeing our growth now is incredible. We aren't moving on to the finals, but making it this high up the ranks is a massive milestone for us. The challenges were seriously tough. Whether it was Web, Misc, Pwn, or BinForCry, every single category pushed our limits and tested our skills.

We are incredibly proud of the whole team for the relentless effort and the grind. We learned a ton from this run, and we are already taking notes to improve our game. Team NullBytez will definitely be back stronger and readier for the next ROOTCON Capture-The-Flag competition.

We successfully secured 130th place out of 1,103 teams, finishing with a solid 4,365 points overall!

Massive props to all 6 of our amazing team members for their hard work and dedication:

> Rintaro right behind with a massive 1,345 points!
> mepwn securing a clutch 665 points!
> z0m adding a crucial 110 points!
> kaneshiro bringing in 100 points!
> Selrahc holding down the fort and supporting the squad!

We couldn't have cracked the top 12% without the whole squad pushing through.

​The Mock rsuCTF 2026 is fully online and open to ALL students of CCMADI, across all year levels.

💻 Where: Fully Online

​🔰 No prior experience? No problem! You will learn as you solve the challenges. Plus, we will be holding a short orientation from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM to get everyone up to speed before the hacking officially begins.
