Congratulations to our VP for Linkage and Community Development, Ms. Angelica I. Sandoval, for being a finalist for this year’s Most Outstanding Young Woman of Ocampo.
The Local Government Unit of Ocampo, through the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation, in coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), and all Sangguniang Kabataan Councils, proudly held the Search for CY 2025 Most Outstanding Young Men and Women of Ocampo. The awarding ceremony was held on August 17, 2025, at the PAGCOR MPEC, Hibago, Ocampo, Camarines Sur. This prestigious undertaking recognized the exemplary youth of Ocampo who embody leadership, excellence, and service to the community.
The qualified candidates first underwent evaluation by the Screening Committee based on their submitted documents on July 22, 2025. Those who successfully passed this stage then proceeded to the Final Interview on July 25, 2025, where they confidently presented themselves before a distinguished panel of judges.
We proudly hail this year’s honorees: Cedric T. Cortez, Jr. of Barangay Poblacion Central as the Most Outstanding Young Man of Ocampo and Nicole M. Acuña of Barangay San Vicente as the Most Outstanding Young Woman of Ocampo. Their remarkable achievements and commitment to community service truly make them role models for their fellow youth.
Alongside them, the following finalists were also recognized for their dedication, achievements, and invaluable contributions: John Kyle M. Brandes of Barangay La Purisima Nuevo, Diosdado Jr. L. Culiat of Barangay Pinit, Richard C. Sanoy of Barangay Hibago, and Sherwin R. Sergio of Barangay Hanawan for the Men’s Category, and Arabella P. Asor of Barangay Poblacion Central, Hazeneth P. Biando of Barangay Sto. Niño, Angelica I. Sandoval of Barangay La Purisima Nuevo, and Angel B. Tuplano of Barangay Poblacion Central for the Women’s Category.
The awarding was presented by SK Federation President Raphael O. Noga, LYDO-Designate Karen A. Benosa, and Joel A. Panga, Jr., LGOO VI, together with the respective SK Chairpersons. It was witnessed by SK officials, LYDC members, and youth leaders from the different secondary schools in Ocampo, making the event a true celebration of youth empowerment and excellence.
This recognition stands as a testament to the remarkable talents and unwavering spirit of Ocampo’s youth - true beacons of hope and progress for the future.
