Jenny Rapirap (my Dad) was rushed to emergency last Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in Zone Medical and Intervention Hospital in Ligao, Albay (Bicol) due to severe pain, bleeding and his stool also has blood on it. He was rushed to the emergency room and the doctors performed explore-lap and immediately performed a surgery as they found out a perforated ulcer mostly in abdomen and his large intestines
ruptured and Diverticulitis. His operation is completed although he is suffering from low oxygenation (difficulty of breathing) and spike of blood pressure thus he is needed to go back to ICU for further check and constant monitoring. (Week 2)
He is now recovering and all apparatus and tubes has been removed. We are out of ICU but still in semi-private room in the hospital since he still trying to fully gain his strength to sit on his own and walk on his own. He has now a colostomy (hole) on right side near his belly (all his bowel goes through there) and 12-14 inches of surgical incision/wound which where the doctors performed the explore-lap which the nurses are cleaning everyday to heal. He is gaining his strength now and able to talk and move but not on his potential strength at this time as he needs further healing. He still has to go and use salbutamol and nebulizer to have better breathing and sleep. The results of biopsy submitted to another hospital shows that he has ADENOCARCINOMA (CANCER) in the intestinal wall where the Diverticulitis ruptured which we will still need to checked with the doctors and ask for further second opinion and test to show if what stage or if it is metastasize. We pray that it is still in Stage 0 or Stage 1 and this emergency is allowed by God to find out this Cancer early to be treated.
