Year-End Assessment: Honoring Indigenous Womenβs Strength
A Year of Impact, Resilience, and Learning:
This year has been a journey of service, stories, and strength. Our Year-End Assessment honors the voices, progress, and power of Indigenous women, guiding our path forward to support and empower more NMIP women /Non-Moro Indigenous Peoples (NMIP) communities.
Celebrating Growth and Collective Strength:
We reflect on the challenges faced and the resilience shown by Indigenous women.
The Indigenous Women Resource Center stood as one of the 10 CSO Women Accelerators for Women, Peace, and Security in 2024 and continued its commitments in 2025, a milestone that inspires us to continue despite limitations. Our eagerness to support communities and create inspiration is not only our missionβit is our legacy.
Carrying Lessons Forward:
Looking back, we recognize the importance of: Amplifying Indigenous womenβs voices in peace and security. Strengthening partnerships that sustain community empowerment. Building resilience to overcome systemic challenges. Celebrating progress while acknowledging the work still ahead.
Gratitude:
We extend heartfelt thanks to the organizations that accompanied and supported us in this collective quest: The Institute for Autonomy and Governance (IAG) , WEAct 1325, GZO Peace Institute , Global Network of Women Peacebuilders , Forum Civil Peace Service / forumZFD - Philippines Program , UNDP Philippines, UN Women Philippines, Initiatives for International Dialogue, (IID) , IOM and The Asia Foundation . Together, we have nurtured spaces of empowerment, solidarity, and hope for Indigenous women.
Looking Ahead:
As we step into the new year, we carry forward the lessons of resilience, the strength of community, and the inspiration of Indigenous women. Our commitment remains steadfast: to continue building inclusive, empowered, and peaceful futures for NMIP women communities.
