🔊 DID YOU KNOW?

Sound can’t travel through outer space, but light can! 🌌

Sound is a mechanical wave, which means it needs a medium like air, water, or solid objects to travel. It moves when particles vibrate and pass the vibration from one particle to another.

In space, there are very few particles because it is almost a vacuum. There aren’t enough particles close together to carry the vibrations, so sound cannot travel through the emptiness of space.

But light is different! 💡 Light does not need a medium, so it can travel through the vacuum of space. That’s how sunlight can reach Earth from the Sun!

🌟 REMEMBER:

No particles = No sound.
No medium needed = Light can travel!

So, even if something explodes in space like in the movies… you wouldn’t hear the “BOOM!” 🤯🚀

🔬 DID YOU KNOW? WHITE LIGHT IS ACTUALLY A MIX OF ALL VISIBLE COLORS, KNOWN AS ROYGBIV.

In the 1660s, Sir 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐚𝐜 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐭𝐨𝐧 demonstrated that white light is made up of many colors using a glass prism. When white light passes through the prism, each color bends by a different amount, causing the colors to separate and form a spectrum. 🌈

The colors of this spectrum are remembered through the acronym ROYGBIV, which stands for Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. Each color has a different wavelength, with red having the longest wavelength and violet having the shortest.

A prism does not create these colors but it simply separates the different colors that are already present in white light. This phenomenon is called dispersion, and it helps us understand how light behaves.

FUN FACT‼️The same separation of sunlight happens naturally when raindrops act like tiny prisms, creating the colorful arc we know as a rainbow! 🌈

That’s why doctors use them to see inside our bodies without surgery — like real superhero vision 🔬

Fun fact:
It was discovered by accident!
On November 8, 1895 in Germany, physicist Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen saw a glowing screen and found a mysterious "X-ray".
The first X-ray image was of his wife’s hand with a ring.

From one lab accident to hospitals worldwide, his discovery changed medicine forever and earned him the first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901!

✨ 𝑰𝑻𝑺 𝑻𝑹𝑰𝑽𝑰𝑨 𝑻𝑰𝑴𝑬!!! ✨

Did you know that ARCHIMEDES 𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐄𝐒 discovered buoyancy while taking a bath🛀🚿.

While relaxing in a bathtub 🛀, he noticed the water level rose🌹 as he submerged, realizing that the volume of displaced water equaled his own volume. This realization allowed him to measure the crown's 👑 volume, ultimately leading to 𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐄𝐒' 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐏𝐋𝐄, which states that an object submerged in a fluid is buoyed up by a force equal to the weight of the fluid it displaces.
