Maliit na plastik, malaking problema na pang-FOREVER!

Isa ang plastic waste pollution sa mga lumalalang banta sa ating kalikasan, mga hayop, halaman, at maging sa kalusugan ng mga tao.

Mula sa bansag na “sachet economy,” batid natin ang gamit ng plastics sa araw-araw nating pamumuhay. Kalimitang napo-prodyus at kinokonsumo ng mga tao ang mga produktong nasa maliliit na pakete, plastic packaging o sachets. Paniniwala ng karamihan, mas nagbibigay ito ng kaginhawaan at abot-kayang opsyon.

Ayon sa pag-aaral, umaabot sa 2.7 million tons ang napoprodyus na basura, na karaniwang binubuo ng mga plastic materials gaya ng disposable cups, utensils, food wrappers, straws, at plastic bags.

Dahil dito, mahalagang sikapin natin na tayo ay maging isang “circular economy” upang magamit muli o mai-resiklo ang mga basura, lalo na ng ang mga gawa sa plastic.

Ngayong Environment Month, sama-sama at tulong-tulong tayong maging responsable sa pagsisinop ng ating plastic wastes at umisip ng mga alternatibong paraan upang mabawasan ito. Ang paggamit ng reusable items katulad ng tumbler sa halip na plastic bottle, at pag-segregate ng ating mga basura ng maayos, ay ilan lamang sa magagawa natin saan man tayo magpunta. 💚
