Article 719 in Action!

Alam mo ba na ayon sa Article 719 ng Civil Code, obligasyon ng nakapulot ng gamit na hindi kanya na i- turn over ito sa mayor ng bayan kung sana ito napulot, at obligasyon naman ng mayor na ipaalam ito sa publiko? Kung walang kukuha nito sa loob ng anim na buwan ay ibibigay na ito sa nakapulot.

Today we remember. Today we are calling for accountability.

The parish of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, New Lucena is in solidarity together with the whole Archdiocese in calling for accountability on all public officials. This is in line with the call of His Grace, Most Rev. Midyphil Billones, Archbishop of Jaro to join the "A trillion Peso Protest".

Today we also remember the declaration of Martial Law of the Late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

Martial Law remains one of the darkest chapters in our nation’s history. It was a time marked by fear, abuse, and silenced freedoms. Yet in the end, it was the people who prevailed.

Today, we face a different kind of battle—one not waged with arms, but with integrity and accountability. Corruption remains our greatest enemy, robbing our children of classrooms, our families of hospitals, and our people of their dignity every day. Yet just as the nation once stood together to overcome tyranny, so too will it be the strength of the people that will bring an end to corruption.

This day is a reminder that true power does not lie in the hands of a dictator, nor in the wealth of the few, but in the collective strength of a people bound by courage, hope, and bayanihan.

Hindi tayo makakalimot. At hindi tayo titigil hanggang masiguro nating ang kinabukasan ng ating bayan ay nakaugat sa katapatan, katarungan, at pagkakaisa.
