With hearts ready to learn, collaborate, and serve, the student leaders of Cathedral School of La Naval, Inc. gathered on August 10, 2026, at the Venerable Catherine McAuley Function Hall and Heritage for the Student Leadership Training 2026, guided by the theme, โ€œMercy in Action: Forming Student Leaders for Service, Sustainability, and Stewardship.โ€

Hosted by Vien Mae D. Garnada, the program began with a prayer led by Sheen Kiesha E. Nuyad, followed by the Unity Dance led by the SSLG Officers, the welcome message of Ms. Nathalia E. Agujar, and the introduction of resource speaker Ms. Floravel K. Ambas. The morning then continued with engaging team-building activities led by Ms. Floravel K. Ambas, together with youth volunteers Lakisha Lazaro and Lino Cart Cabillos of Misericordia Children Center, Inc. The activities challenged the student leaders to communicate, cooperate, and trust one another, strengthening their teamwork while creating moments of laughter, energy, and camaraderie.

The formation continued through meaningful discussions and activities led by Ms. Floravel K. Ambas, Lakisha G. Lazaro, and Lino Cart L. Cabillos, encouraging the student leaders to look beyond titles and positions and embrace leadership through service, sustainability, stewardship, and compassion. The program concluded with the awarding of certificates led by Sr. Marian C. Ladrera, RSM, MMS, together with Ms. Nathalia E. Agujar and Ms. Rovegean M. Noval, followed by the closing prayer led by Ms. Kristina Shannon L. Powell.

As the day came to a close, the student leaders carried with them more than lessons; they carried stronger bonds, a deeper sense of responsibility, and a renewed commitment to lead with purpose. May what began in this gathering continue through every act of leadership, every hand extended in service, and every heart willing to make a difference.

On August 1, 2026, the Cathedral School of La Naval, Inc. held its First General Parents-Teachers Association (GPTA) Meeting at the La Naval Auditorium, gathering parents, teachers, school administrators, and members of the school community.

The meeting provided a meaningful opportunity to share ideas, discuss important matters, and strengthen cooperation, with the growth and well-being of our learners at heart. The gathering was also graced by the presence of Hon. Gretchen Stephanie M. Espina, Municipal Mayor of Naval, reflecting the support of the wider community for our school.

To all the parents, teachers, administrators, and members of the GPTA community, thank you for your time, presence, and active participation. Your continued cooperation and support help make our school community stronger.

Today, July 30,2026, the Cathedral School of La Naval, Inc. conducted its Fire and Earthquake Drill to strengthen the preparedness and emergency response skills of every pupil and student. The morning session began at the La Naval Auditorium with an orientation opened by Ms. Nathalia E. Agujar, followed by an opening prayer led by Bro. Daniel Rasis Cuervo. Mr. John Arnold S. Sadoguio delivered the opening remarks, while guest speakers FO1 Jay T. Amistoso and FO3 Joemar E. Jamin from the Bureau of Fire Protection shared valuable lessons on fire prevention, earthquake safety, and the proper response during emergencies.

In the afternoon, the school community gathered once again for a practical discussion on basic first aid and the proper response when someone is injured during an emergency. After returning to their classrooms, pupils and students calmly carried out the evacuation procedures as the alarm sounded, demonstrating discipline, cooperation, and presence of mind throughout the drill.

The program also featured rescue and fire suppression demonstrations at the CSN Basketball Court. Guided by the Bureau of Fire Protection personnel, selected student volunteers participated in the proper use of fire extinguishers, while the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) worked together to suppress the fire using water, showing that teamwork and preparedness are essential in times of emergency.

Preparedness is more than knowing what to do, it is learning to stay calm, protect one another, and respond with courage when every second matters. Through activities like these, the Cathedral School of La Naval, Inc. continues to form not only knowledgeable learners, but responsible individuals who are ready to act with confidence, compassion, and presence of mind whenever the need arises.

These include bag inspections, identification pass verification, attendance and logbook monitoring, the proper safekeeping of mobile phones during school hours, and other routine procedures that help ensure the well-being and security of every learner throughout the school day.

These measures are carried out under the supervision of the Prefect of Discipline, with the assistance of the Security Personnel, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), and the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP). Through the collective efforts of these offices and organizations, the school continues to uphold discipline, strengthen campus safety, and foster a learning environment where every learner can learn, grow, and thrive.
