School of Arts and Sciences-Supreme Student Council (SAS-SSC) officers, in collaboration with the School of Teacher Education - Supreme Student Council (STED-SSC) officers participated in this year's International Youth Day with a theme: Youth Fest 2026: Tinig at Galaw ng Kabataan spearheaded by Commission on Human Rights (CHR) in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Technical Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) held at the university gymnasium on August 12.
The said schools participated in the Youth Booth Exhibition: Arts, Crafts, and Local Products in which they showcased their creativity, ideas, camaraderie and showered the booth with distinctive outputs and crafts of the students from their respective departments.
Moreover, in the morning session, Ms Jonna Marie M. Ranes, Chief, Promotion & Advocacy, Division, CHR RO VIII, shared the overview and opening of "Rights on Canvas: Express Human Rights through Art" On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest in which representatives from different schools of BiPSU participated in the said contest. Atty. Sheena Estrella Bentor, Chief, Promotion & Advocacy Division, CHR RO VIII discussed session one: Basic Human Rights Concepts and Principles, Mr. Joseph Roel C. Obrino, Information Officer II, CHR RO II tackled session two: Commision on Human Rights Mandate and Functions,
Meanwhile, in the afternoon session, Dir. Rebecca M. Cormanes, OIC Provincial Director, DTI - Provincial Office of Biliran discussed session three: Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Programs and Services and lastly, session four: Technical Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) Programs and Services was discussed by Dir. Sheila Mae D. Taon, Acting Provincial Director, TESDA - Provincial Office Of Biliran.
Moreover, presentation of Youth Booth Exhibition: Arts, Crafts, and Local Products was held with each representative explaining the concept and creative outputs of their respective booths.
The event concluded with awarding of certificates and recognition was given to the key officials, guests and participants
