The recent harvest from the mushroom production project for 3 consecutive priming yielded approximately 1,200 to 1,300 pesos value of fresh mushrooms, marking a significant achievement for the mushroom growers of ISUCC-BRGY Burgos Integrated Farmers Association. This level of production reflects proper management practices, good quality substrates, and consistent care throughout the growing period.

The harvested mushrooms were carefully collected, sorted, and packed traditionally to ensure quality and freshness. Such a yield demonstrates the strong potential of mushroom production as a sustainable livelihood activity, especially for households and community groups. With minimal land requirements and relatively low production costs, mushroom farming provides an accessible source of income for farmers and local residents.

Beyond income generation, mushroom production also contributes to food security and nutrition, as mushrooms are a good source of protein, vitamins, and minerals. The success of this harvest highlights the importance of continuous training, teamwork, and support in strengthening community-based agricultural projects.

The ISUCC-Brgy. Burgos Integrated Farmers Association conducted a hands-on activity focused on mushroom production and bag preparation and inoculation. Participants actively took part in spawning, filling, sealing, and incubating mushroom fruiting bags while following proper sanitation practices. The activity aimed to enhance skills and knowledge on sustainable livelihood opportunities, particularly in mushroom cultivation. Through teamwork and shared learning, the community members gained practical experience that can help improve household income and promote local agricultural development.
