𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 𝗖𝗦𝗖 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗞 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀

We warmly welcome and celebrate the Philippine Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) issuance of Resolution No. 2500752, which officially grants Civil Service Eligibility to Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials (elected or appointed) who have completed their full 3-year term. This recognition through the Sangguniang Kabataan Official Eligibility (SKOE) is a victory for all youth leaders, affirming our vital role in nation-building and opening pathways to careers in government service.

We are proud to highlight that the Model SK Network, under the leadership of its former National Chairperson, Nestie Villaviray, strongly lobbied for this policy. This milestone builds on Resolution No. 37, approved by the National Anti-Poverty Commission Youth and Students Sector (NAPC-YSSC), “Resolution Urging the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to Promulgate Guidelines on the Grant of Civil Service Eligibility to SK Officials, including those who served during the passage of Republic Act No. 10742 and Republic Act No. 11768, pursuant to Section 16 of the Revised Rules and Regulations Implementing the said laws.”

We also extend our congratulations to the National Youth Commission (NYC) for their work and effort in championing this cause alongside other youth advocates.

As Nestie Villaviray said: “This is not only a triumph for the Sangguniang Kabataan but also a motivation and new challenge: to continuously fulfill their duties and responsibilities with integrity, accountability, and genuine service to the people.”

Ayon sa PSA, malaking porsyento ng mahihirap na Pilipino ay mga menor de edad, partikular sa mga pamilyang nasa rural at marginalized na komunidad. Tayo'y magsama-samang magkaroon ng kamalayan sa pagiging bahagi ng mas malawak na adbokasiya, kasama natin si Sir 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗟𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘇, Chairperson ng Committee on Agriculture ng National Anti-Poverty Commission Youth and Students Sector upang mabigyan tayo ng kaalaman at maging bahagi upang labanan ang kahirapan

: Malaking porsyento ng kabataang Pilipino ang nahihirapang magplano para sa kanilang pinansyal na kinabukasan, kadalasan dahil sa kakulangan ng edukasyong pinansyal sa paaralan at sa pamilya. Sa panahon ng mabilis na pagbabago sa ekonomiya at digital finance, mahalagang mapaigting ang financial literacy upang matulungan ang kabataan maging handa sa tamang pagdedesisyon sa pera at maiwasan ang pagkalubog sa utang. Kaya sasamahan tayo ng expert upang kamtin natin ang𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟴 𝗼 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗱 𝗻𝗮 𝗘𝗸𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘆𝗮, walang iba kundi si

: Sa kabila ng mabilis na pag-usbong ng social media at digital platforms, marami pa rin ang nahihirapang tukuyin kung alin ang totoo at mapanuring suriin ang mga impormasyon. Nananatiling hamon ang mababang antas ng Media and Information Literacy, lalo na sa mga kabataan. Ayon sa mga pag-aaral, tumataas ang kaso ng maling impormasyon at disimpormasyon na nakaaapekto sa pampublikong opinyon at demokrasya. Ngayong makakasama natin ang Planning Assistant I at PNPKI Provincial Focal ng DICT Region IVA - Laguna, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗥𝘂𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀, upang ating palakasin ang SDG 4 o 𝗗𝗲-𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱 𝗻𝗮 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻 sa MIL upang mabigyan ang kabataan ng kakayahan na maging kritikal, responsable, at mapanuri sa paggamit ng impormasyon.

: Nanatiling malaking suliranin ang maagang pagbubuntis sa Pilipinas tumaas ng 6.6% ang bilang ng mga kabataang buntis noong 2023 ayon sa Commission on Population and Development. Kaya malaki ang papel ng bawat kabataan sa pagpapataas ng antas ng kaalaman higit sa SDG 3 o 𝗠𝗮𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗮𝘆𝗼𝘀 𝗻𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗺𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆, kaya naman sasamahan tayo ng ating Pambayang Doktor, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗗𝗲 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮, upang pagusapan natin at mabigyang gabay sa kalusugang pagkabataan.
