Issues on the environment is getting bigger and bigger lately,to show support the Youth For Environment In School Organization (Yes-O) did an symposium titledโFrom Policy to Practice: Advancing Environmental Stewardshipโ was held on September 5, 2025, organized by (YES-O). The program opened with a prayer led by Charles Lualhati, followed by the nationalistic song through an audio-visual presentation. Dr. Romeo M. Suliguin, Principal II, warmly welcomed everyone and gave a message that highlighted the importance of students in caring for the environment. His words encouraged the participants to be responsible citizens for our nature.
The introduction of the guest speaker was given by Ngel Viriรฑa, the YES-O President. The guest speaker delivered an inspiring talk about environmental stewardship, focusing on proper waste management, the harmful effects of plastics, and the role of the youth in protecting the planet. The discussion connected policies to real-life actions that students and communities can do. After the talk, a Q&A session was held where participants asked questions and shared reflections. This activity allowed the students to show their understanding and ideas on how they can help in solving environmental issues.
The program ended with a closing message from Mrs. Lina C. Delfin, who reminded everyone to apply the lessons learned in their daily lives. The emcees, Aira Dela Torre and Renie Severino, did an excellent job in guiding the flow of the program and keeping the audience entertains. Overall, the symposium was meaningful and inspiring as it reminded everyone that protecting the environment is not only about policies but also about practicing small yet important actions in everyday life.
