PENAFRANCIA EDITION

What if our streets were designed not just for cars, but for people?

Imagine streets where:
โœจ Walking feels safe and comfortable
โœจ Biking is a practical, everyday choice
โœจ Children, seniors, and PWDs can move freely
โœจ Streets are cooler, greener, and more lively
โœจ Roads connect people to schools, markets, work, and public transport

Reimagining our streets to be walkable and bikeable means healthier communities, cleaner air, safer roads, and a more inclusive Naga City.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Your voice matters.
What changes do you want to see on our streets?
Where do you feel unsafe walking or biking?
What small improvements can make a big difference?

Streets are public spacesโ€”and they should work for people.

We are inviting residents, workers, business owners, commuters, cyclists, pedestrians, and all Nagueรฑos to take part in shaping the proposed Naga City Peopleโ€™s Street (Carless Days) Ordinance.

This is a civil societyโ€“initiated draft and we want your ideas, comments, and suggestions to make it more inclusive, practical, and responsive to the needs of our city.

๐Ÿ“ Read the draft and share your inputs here:
๐Ÿ‘‰ https://docs.google.com/document/d/1P-23MhRxqO0nLXEM3Ib8M-BphSh_afeQbQYDZadZH_Q/edit?usp=sharing

Your feedback will help refine the proposal before it is formally submitted to the City Government at the appropriate time.

Letโ€™s work together to imagine streets that are:
โœ… safer
โœ… more walkable
โœ… more bikeable
โœ… more inclusive
โœ… better for local businesses and communities

๐Ÿ“ฃ Your voice matters. Co-create with us.

๐Ÿšฒ Bilang Siklista: Naga City Bike Count 2025

We rolled out early this morning from 6:00-8:00AM for the Bilang Siklista โ€“ Naga City Bike Count 2025 at key spots around the city. And weโ€™re not done yet โ€” weโ€™ll be counting again this afternoon from 4:00-6:00PM. So ride through and be counted, because everybody counts!

This marks our 4th year of being part of Bilang Siklista, as we continue gathering crucial data to help shape Naga City into a safer, more bike-friendly place. Through this project, we aim to:

โœ… Count how many bicycles are used in Naga this July 2025
โœ… Identify popular routes and high bike traffic areas
โœ… Understand cycling patterns, including helmet use, by time of day, gender, and location

A big THANK YOU to our tireless volunteers from BISCAST, NCF, and CBUSA, who make this possible through their dedication and energy.

Weโ€™re also deeply grateful to our partners for their unwavering support:

Naga City Government led by Mayor Atty. Leni Robredo
Mobility Awards
Oragon BIkers Inc.
Naga City Bicycle Board
BISCAST-Association of Civil Engineering Students

Together, letโ€™s keep moving towards a greener, healthier, and more bike-friendly Naga City. See you on the road this afternoon โ€” letโ€™s be counted, because everybody counts! ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ
