The College of Computer Studies (CCS) of the Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) celebrated a breakthrough performance at the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Hack4Gov 2025 Regional Capture-the-Flag (CTF) Competition held on December 5 at Villa Caceres Hotel, Naga City.
Held under the theme โCyber Guardians: Empowering Todayโs Defenders, Securing Tomorrowโs Digital Nation,โ the event convened the regionโs top cybersecurity cohorts, paving way for NCFโs team โH4ckD0gzโ a stunning leap from fifth place last year to clinch second runner-up this yearโ marking the collegeโs first-ever podium finish in the regional leg.
The four-member team, coached by BS Information Systems (BSIS) Program Chair Mr. Ronald O. Baldemoro, MIT, consists of Jerome A. Infante (Team Captain), Maria Antonette R. Palomares, Cedric L. De Asis, and Bruce B. Rivero.
At the end of the event, DICT awarded the Team Anonymouse of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) as the winner, and the OJO Gang of Ateneo de Naga University (AdNU) as the first-runner up.
Meanwhile, Bruce B. Rivero received the Excellence Award and Regional Wildcard, recognized as one of the competition's top scorers.
Rivero will be one of Region Vโs representatives, alongside the champions of Hack4Gov 2025, at the National Finals on December 9, 2025, at Sequoia Hotel in Paraรฑaque City.
CCS extends its full support to Bruce Rivero as he prepares to compete on the national stage.
