🚨 URGENT CALL FOR TRUCKS FOR RESCUE OPERATIONS 🚨

Our city’s rescue operations are overwhelmed by the rising floodwaters caused by Tropical Storm "Kristine." WE ARE URGENTLY IN NEED OF TRUCKS AND ASSETS FROM GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE SECTORS THAT CAN NAVIGATE FLOODWATERS BETWEEN 3 TO 6 FEET DEEP.

If you have vehicles capable of assisting in these conditions, please proceed immediately to the Incident Management Team at the Public Safety Office, City Hall Compound.

Your help can save lives. Let’s come together as a community and support our rescue efforts. Time is critical.

🌳 Do you trim mangrove trees?

In some areas, this is done for aesthetic reasons while in others it’s necessary to encourage regrowth.

‼️ But wait! Before you cut back mangrove vegetation, it’s important to do so sustainably. That means understanding how the tree species you’re trimming grows and whether it can coppice. If you trim the canopy too much, the remaining trunk and prop roots could die.

The more stressed the tree, the less you should cut back.
