WEATHER ADVISORY Bagyong Ramil
as of October 18, 2025,12:00 pm

Heads up, everyone!
Tropical Storm Ramil is slowly getting stronger and moving near Virac, Catanduanes, same track as Bagyong Pepito noon. Dahil mabagal ang galaw nito (mga 15 kph), malakas at matagal na ulan ang posibleng maranasan.

πŸ“ Apektadong lugar: Northern Catanduanes at Camarines Sur

Water Filter Training on Ticao Island!

Our Grounds Coordinator, Hubi Senosin, successfully conducted a thorough training session for our Area Leads and Barangay Officials in Ticao. The focus was not just on how to use the water filters, but critically, on how to properly clean and maintain them.

These local officials and leaders are now equipped to train their respective communities. This is vital to ensuring the filters are used correctly for maximum effectiveness and longevity, guaranteeing safe, potable water for hundreds of families relying on compromised wells and rivers, and supporting the long-term health of our most vulnerable residents.

Thank you, Hubi, for your dedication to ensuring sustainable relief!

Thank you Waves For Water Philippines.

Thank you LGU San Fernando for helping us with the accommodation.

Thank you PDRRMO Masbate and PSWDO Masbate for helping us transport the Filters from the ports to the remote communities.

Tabang sa San Fernando, Ticao Island: Relief Goods and Hygiene Kits Delivered!

Our team successfully conducted a distribution operation in San Fernando, Ticao Island, providing essential Hygiene Kits and Relief Goods to families devastated by STS Opong.

We made sure that aid was prioritized for our most vulnerable residents, with senior citizens making up the majority of our beneficiaries in this distribution. In the wake of the storm, preventing illness is just as crucial as providing food and shelter, and the hygiene kits will help our elders maintain health and dignity as they begin the long process of recovery.

Every single hygiene kit and food pack distributed today represents the incredible generosity of our Myriad USA donors and the tireless dedication of our Tarabangan Bicol team especially our Area lead in Ticao, Jeedee. Thank you for helping us ensure that assistance reaches those who are often isolated and overlooked.

Thank you Akrho San Fernando for helping with the repacking and distribution.

Clean Water is Coming! Water Filters Bound for Masbate and Ticao Island

The mission continues! 75 Water Filters are officially on their way to the hardest-hit, remotest communities in Masbate Island and Ticao Island!

Access to safe water is a critical post-disaster challenge, especially in these areas where families rely on wells and rivers as their primary water sources. Contamination risk is extremely high, and these filters will provide a lifeline.

This massive logistical undertaking was made possible by the incredible generosity and dedication of our partners:

A huge thank you to Waves For Water for providing these 75 essential filters. Your support ensure families can safely filter their existing water resources, preventing illness.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our USA Myriad Donors. The funds pooled from your continuous donations were crucial in covering complex logistics and transport costs, ensuring that this bulky, vital cargo reaches even the remotest areas of Masbate and Ticao where it is needed most.

Thank you to our Operations Lead, Hubi Senosin, for facilitating this crucial delivery today, October 8, 2025.

Tabang sa Masbate: Relief Operation in Masbate City

The journey to recovery continues!

Our volunteers were on the ground in Masbate City yesterday, October 6, 2025, conducting a Relief Operation to 130 families in Brgy. Batuhan, a coastal brgy, severely affected by STS Opong.

The need remains immense, with homes still damaged and the surrounding hills stripped bare. We were able to distribute essential food packs, offering a crucial lifeline to residents as they work to rebuild their lives and livelihoods.

This operation was made possible entirely by the unwavering generosity of our Myriad USA donors and Tanging Yaman Foundation and the dedication of our Masbate Area Leads and the entire Tarabangan Bicol team. Thank you for making sure that help reaches the Bicolanos who need it most.

Barangay F. Magallanes, Masbate City After STS Opong

This critical report from Barangay F. Magallanes, Masbate City, documented today, September 26, 2025, by our Area Lead Mickee Mc, details severe damage to vital infrastructure and homes following STS Opong.

The photos clearly show the catastrophic impact of the storm's winds: Power lines are extensively damaged or completely downed, confirming the complete loss of electricity in the area. Furthermore, the wind has stripped the roofs from numerous houses, leaving families exposed and their residences uninhabitable.

Compounding this destruction, the diversion road remains impassable, critically blocking relief access, and cell signal is down in Masbate City. A priority note from the ground confirms the urgency: "As of the moment, no relief has reached our barangay from the LGU."

Milagros, Masbate: STS Opong Destroys Homes and the Coastal Way of Life

In Poblacion East and West Milagros, Masbate, the aftermath of STS Opong is brutally clear, as shown in photos from today, September 26, 2025. The storm didn't just smash homes; it decimated the fishing nets, the very foundation of this coastal community's income.

Despite the ruin, the spirit of the locals is immediately visible. They are wading through the debris, painstakingly working to salvage what they can of their tangled nets, ready to face the long process of rebuilding their lives and livelihoods.

Our thoughts are with Milagros. We are currently assessing needs and will share verified ways to help soon.

Thank you to our Area Lead, Mabz Arenavo, for this vital documentation.

San Fernando, Ticao: Catastrophic Loss from STS Opong

These heartbreaking images, captured today by LGU San Fernando, September 26, 2025, illustrate the severe destruction caused by STS Opong across San Fernando, Ticao Island.

The storm’s fury delivered a devastating double blow to this coastal community: homes have been reduced to rubble, and their vital fishing boatsβ€”their primary source of livelihoodβ€”have been heavily damaged or destroyed. For these families, the loss is total, impacting both their shelter and their ability to earn.

The need for immediate assistance to restore both housing and critical fishing gear is urgent.

Help us help them.
