Thank you for working hard and exerting all your efforts for your students, believing in them and shaping them into the best version of themselves. We hope that this day brings you joy and love just as you do in the classroom. On 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐, the 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀' 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 participated in the 𝑭𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝑪𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒕. 𝑽𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒅𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒖𝒍 that was organized by the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 (𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗗𝗦𝗪𝗛𝗦𝗠) 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 and supervised by 𝗨𝗦𝗜 - 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 (𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗔). Families from one of the university's partner communities, 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚, were invited to come to 𝗨𝗦𝗜 and were welcomed by the different organizations under 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗗𝗦𝗪𝗛𝗦𝗠 for festivities and gifts.

The program formally started with a simple kumustahan and was followed by the opening remarks of 𝘋𝘳. 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢 𝘊𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘢 𝘗. 𝘉𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦, who warmly welcomed the families into USI. After the opening remarks, performances from various organizations followed for the community's entertainment. Afterwards, a catechesis session was led by 𝘔𝘴. 𝘈𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘢, wherein she shared the story of St. Vincent de Paul with the community and reminded everyone of a beautiful truth: “𝑲𝒂𝒚𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒌𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒏 𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒊𝒎𝒃𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒏.”

That was then followed by games for the kids and adults, much to the enjoyment of not just the community but everyone involved in the program. Lunch was then served after everyone had settled down.

More than a celebration, the gathering became an opportunity to live out the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul—𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆. Through every conversation, shared meal, game, performance, and simple gesture of kindness, the community reminded us that service is not simply about giving what we have, but about giving our time, presence, and hearts.

The celebration continued with the distribution of gifts prepared by the different organizations under CASTEDSWHSM Department. The smiles of the families, especially the children, made the day even more meaningful and reminded everyone that even simple acts of generosity can create moments of joy and belonging.

As future educators, the experience also reminded the members of TEDSO that education extends beyond the four walls of a classroom. It is rooted in compassion, dignity, presence, and service. In welcoming the families of Sitio Magayagaya, we were reminded that every person we encounter is worthy of respect, care, and love.

May the example of St. Vincent de Paul continue to inspire us to serve not only with our hands, but also with our hearts—recognizing Christ in every person and finding opportunities to become a source of hope wherever we are.

On this day, we celebrate the life and legacy of St. Vincent de Paul who dedicated his life to serving the poor and those in need. His story reminds us that true faith comes from humility, compassion, and service.

May we continue to be inspired by his example, seeing Christ in every person we encounter, serving with compassion, and being an instrument of hope anywhere we may go. May he guide us in being agents of charity that live with purpose and serve with generous hearts.
