Skateopia proudly took part in the Sports Stakeholders Summit 2026 as the representative of the Sports Sector in the Naga City Council for Youth Development (NCCYD).

This historic gathering brought together respected leaders and experts in Philippine sports — including Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz, POC officials such as Akiko Thomson-Guevara and Jessie Lacuna, Coach Noli Ayo, and other distinguished stakeholders — all united by one goal: strengthening grassroots sports programs in Naga City.

The summit emphasized that real transformation begins at the grassroots level — where young athletes are discovered, supported, and empowered.

Being part of this conversation affirms that the youth sports sector is moving forward with collaboration, shared responsibility, and long-term vision. Skateopia is grateful to contribute to discussions that shape stronger, more inclusive grassroots programs for the next generation of athletes.

𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐆𝐈𝐁 — Ms. Kelly Donovan and Ms. Emily Simpson — to Naga City.

Beyond visiting the Innovation Projects, what made the day especially meaningful were the conversations that happened right on the ramps and concrete of the Civic Skatepark.

Interviews were conducted in the skatepark itself, with our Local Youth Development Officer, a local skater, and the Skateopia Proponent and President — each sharing perspectives on youth safety, inclusion, and reclaiming public spaces.

One message stayed with us: 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙫𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙗𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙪𝙨𝙚.

Skateopia is beyond grateful for your time, the meaningful conversations, and your continued belief in and support for youth-led action. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗦𝟮𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺!🛹✨

𝑯𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒐, 2026🎉

A new year begins — and so does the work of caring for spaces we love and the communities we move with.

May this year bring respect, responsibility, and real support for youth-led spaces like ours.

Stay tuned for Skateopia’s lineup of activities this year — and we hope you roll with us. 🛹🤍

🎄 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐒𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐚! 🛹✨

This Christmas, we celebrate more than the season — we celebrate community, shared spaces, and the people who continue to give life to the skatepark.

To our skatepark users, partners, volunteers, supporters, and everyone who believed in Skateopia from the start — thank you for being part of this journey. Because of you, this space continues to be safe, inclusive, and alive.

May this season remind us of the power of togetherness, creativity, and care for one another. Here’s to more rides, more stories, and more moments shared in the Civic Skatepark in the year ahead.

Maligayang Pasko at Manigong Bagong Taon! 🎁💙
