Last Sunday, March 22, 2026 our hearts came together in Barangay Carolina, Naga City for a mindful and meaningful community extension.

This initiative was made possible through the collective efforts of the SSNS-ICES officers & Adviser, dedicated volunteers, the SK Carolina, Barangay Officials of Carolina, and the active participation of the youth in the community. The event created a safe and empowering space where mental well-being was prioritized, voices were heard, and self-care was encouraged.

Last 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, theICES-SSNS successfully carried out the Launching of Gulayan sa Paaralan initiative through the collective efforts of the ICES–SSNS Officers and student volunteers, together with the enthusiastic students of Yabu Elementary School.

The activity was also graced and supported by the SSNS Faculty Members, the ICES Director, and the dedicated Yabu Elementary School Faculty Members, whose guidance and presence strengthened the spirit of partnership and sustainability. 🌿

From preparing the soil to planting seedlings, every shared effort reflected our commitment to community extension, environmental awareness, and experiential learning beyond the classroom. 🌾✨
Indeed, this initiative proves that when institutions and communities unite, growth becomes meaningful and lasting.

As the holiday season approaches, we take time to recognize the invaluable service of our 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥, 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬, whose dedication helps create a safe and nurturing environment for the entire UNC community.

We invite everyone to join us on 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎, 𝟖:𝟎𝟎 𝐚.𝐦.–𝟏𝟐:𝟎𝟎 𝐧𝐧 at the UNC Pavilion for our annual 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐠, a heartfelt gesture of appreciation to the people who work diligently behind the scenes every day.

This celebration is made possible through the generous support of University Parents Engagement Center (UPEC), Human Resource Office (HR), Academic Council, Institutionalized Community Extension Services (𝘐𝘊𝘌𝘚), General Parents Teachers Council (GEN PTC), Junior High School Parents Teachers Council (JHS PTC), Senior High School Parents Teachers Council (SHS PTC), and Elementary Parents Teachers Association (ELEM PTA).

In the spirit of solidarity and service, the University of Nueva Caceres joined hands with the Ayala Foundation Inc. and the We Are Ayala Business Club (WAABC) Bicol in delivering humanitarian assistance to families affected by Super Typhoon (STY) Uwan.

A total of 600 relief packs were prepared and distributed by WAABC Bicol, with UNC providing essential manpower support—from packing and transport coordination to the actual distribution in the communities most in need.

On November 14, 2025, relief efforts reached:

Municipality of Sagñay: 250 packs in Brgy. Aniog, 50 in Angat Buhay Village (ABV) Sagñay, Brgy. Del Carmen

Municipality of San Jose: 30 packs at St. Joseph Parish of San Jose, and 230 packs in Sitio Mindanao, Brgy. Danlog

On November 15, 2025, the team extended assistance to:

Municipality of Calabanga: 40 packs at Angat Buhay Village (ABV) Sabang, Calabanga

Together, we continue to uphold compassion, resilience, and community care—showing that hope shines strongest when we work as one.

🌟 𝗨𝗡𝗖-𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮,𝗬𝗮𝗯𝘂 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 🌟

📌 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 – The 𝗨𝗡𝗖 𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 embarked on its first step toward community partnership through an 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗮𝗯𝘂 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮, 𝗡𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, marking the beginning of its journey with its newly adopted community.

Present during the visit were ICES Director James Paul Cavite, ICES JHS Coordinator Shirley Genio, ICES SSNS Coordinator Virginia Esguerra, and ICES SSNS President Eumella Robin, who collectively represented the commitment of UNC-ICES to extend service, foster collaboration, and bring meaningful impact beyond the university walls.

The team was warmly received by the school’s leadership and the Barangay Carolina Kagawad for the Education Sector, who shared their aspirations and insights for the betterment of the school and the community. Together, both parties engaged in productive discussions to identify priority needs, sustainable programs, and collaborative activities that can contribute to the holistic development of the learners and strengthen the community’s capacity for growth.

This initial visit serves as the foundation for future initiatives that aim to bridge education and community development—living out the UNC-ICES vision of nurturing partnerships that create lasting, positive change. 🌱✨

Strengthening Service Through Unity and Commitment
