Last June 10, 2023, the JKLGY x Puhon core team successfully handed over hundreds of books to Balatas National High School. This event officially concludes the first installment of the Puhon Book Drive, effectively concluding our first ever initiative.

The core team was composed of the following individuals:

The Puhon-JKLGY Donation Drive team would like to inform our generous donors and followers that we will now officially cease our book collection activities for the 1st installment of our project.

Our deepest appreciation goes to everyone who has donated to our humble initiative. Thank you for joining us in promoting literacy and sharing the love and joy of reading. We will be handing over your book donations to Balatas National High School on June 10, 2023. ✨✊

The Puhon x JKLGY project core team would like to congratulate its very own, Ms. Krislen Gaile G. Bismonte, for being awarded as the 2023 UNC CLASS VALEDICTORIAN and a PRESIDENTIAL LEADERSHIP AWARDEE. We wholeheartedly believe that these blessings are a result of all her hard work in the academe and communities outside the four corners of the classroom.

Her commitment to genuine student service is a standard we all aspire to reach. Thank you, Ms. Gaile, for joining in this endeavor, and congratulations on your achievement and others that are yet to come.

Puhon: A Book Donation Drive 2023

Puhon: A JKLGY Donation Drive Initiative is proud to share with you our first project titled Puhon: A Book Donation Drive 2023. Our project is the spiritual successor to the successful Padagos Kaakian Book Drive (PKDB) that helped Santa Cruz National High School as well as San Isidro National High School in starting and expanding their book collections.

The project's name may be different, but our aim remains the same. The initiative aims to help newly-established schools in Naga City in building their book collections for their respective school libraries.

It is our hope that by helping them gather resources for their library, we contribute to the development of a better and fully equipped studentry that is ready for further and sudden societal changes, as well as disruptions that the prolonged global pandemic may cause.

This initiative is our group's response to the education crisis and the need for more youth involvement in civic matters.
