Pagsungko ni Ina: A Visit of Blessings
From the Bible, when Mary visited Elizabeth while both were expecting — Jesus and John the Baptist — the tradition of pagsungko was born. It is a symbol of joy and the sharing of grace.
Today, this continues in our devotion to Our Lady of Peñafrancia, as her image visits chapels, establishments, and homes. Each pagsungko reminds us that Ina is always with us, bringing God’s presence into our community.
Every visit carries:
Blessings for our families and work
Unity in faith and devotion
Continuity of our cherished Bicolano tradition
Whenever we welcome Ina, let us proclaim together:
“Viva la Virgen!”
Ina visits UMA Hotel + Residences!!!! Viva La Virgen!!!!
