Day 2

Our second day began where every vocation must begin: at the altar.

The celebration of the Holy Mass anchored our day, reminding us that every journey, every moment of laughter, and every bond we build must flow from Christ who calls us. It was presided over by Rev. Fr. Leonel Magtangob, Seminary Formator.

We then journeyed to Bagasbas Beach Resort, San Andres, Catanduanes, for our team-building activity. What was more than just a getaway became a sacred space to get to know each other, to listen beyond names, to see beyond faces, and to recognize Christ in every brother.

In every game, conversation, and shared laughter, we discovered that fraternity is an essential part of formation. From prayer to play, from altar to shore, God forms us as one.

We came as individuals in discernment. We left the shore as brothers iribahan sa paglakaw, iribahan sa bokasyon.

We began our Boronyog with hearts bowed in humility.

The first day opened with a Penitential Service — a sacred moment of entrusting our weaknesses, wounds, and wavering hearts to the Lord who lovingly calls us to follow Him.

This was enriched by a profound spiritual talk from our Rector and Vocation Director, Rev. Fr. Eduardo Zafe, who reminded us what it truly means to answer God's call. A small group sharing then followed, where stories of struggle and hope became stories of grace.

In this gathering, God gently reminds us: We do not walk alone. The path to priesthood is not a walk in isolation, but iribahan together.

Journeying together makes this vocation not only meaningful, but fruitful.

The seminarians of the Diocese of Virac will come together for the JOINT SEMINARIAN'S BORONYOG 2026 on October 23-25, 2026.

This gathering seeks to strengthen brotherhood, camaraderie, and fellowship among the future servants of the Church.

Let us continue praying for more priestly and religious vocations.🙏
