💌 𝗕𝗠 𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆

As we venture out into the new academic year ahead of us, the 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗖 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 held its annual departmental orientation last 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 from 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM at 𝗦𝘁. 𝗖𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹.

It was conducted with the purpose in mind of 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀. It served as a platform to ease the students' transition into the college environment 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀' 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (BMSO).

The USI St. Cecilia Music Conservatory would like to congratulate our very own Andrey Florence A. Viola for winning the Platinum Prize (First Prize) in the 6th World Piano Teachers Association Singapore International Piano Competition under the Artist Category (ages 21 and above).

Andrey is a 4th-year Bachelor of Music in Music Performance student, with a piano emphasis, under the tutelage of Dr. Gloria Rosario “April” Sta Maria-Villasquez. He will be performing at the Recital Studio in the Singapore Chinese Cultural Center on November 18, 2024, during the Gala Concert and Awards Ceremony.

You have made the Conservatory, USI, and the Philippines proud!

The USI-SCMC would like to congratulate Mr. Joy Wendel B. Arco for composing the official music of the Peñafrancia Voyadores Festival Pilgrims Dance, titled "Voyadores Overture". Commissioned by the City Events, Protocol, and Public Information Office of the Naga City Government, the composition weaves together different musical themes to form a rich auditory tapestry that honors the cultural and spiritual core of the festival.

Mr. Joy Wendel B. Arco is an alumnus of the conservatory. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree, Major in Music Performance, Batch 2024. He was also a former governor of the Bachelor of Music Students' Organization.
