🚀 Building Naga’s Startup Ecosystem: One Conversation, One Collaboration at a Time
Yesterday was another meaningful milestone for the growing startup community of Naga.
Together with fellow startup founders, innovators, and our partners from LGU Naga, DTI Camarines Sur, DOST Camarines Sur, and ADNU Magis Technology Business Incubator (TBI), we gathered for an inspiring conversation on how we can strengthen, formalize, and accelerate the startup ecosystem in our city and the Bicol Region.
The energy was clear: Naga is ready to build, collaborate, and create.
Among the key discussions was the direction to formalize our startup community into a SEC-compliant non-profit organization that will serve as a platform for founders, technology innovators, mentors, investors, academe, and government partners to work together toward a common mission.
We also started shaping the direction of FutureTech 2026, an annual startup and technology innovation event that will showcase emerging startups, breakthrough technologies, and solutions that can create real impact.
Building from the success of previous FutureTech editions, we envision three major tracks:
🎓 FutureTech Edu (FT Edu)
Empowering students, educators, and academic institutions by introducing emerging technologies, innovation mindset, entrepreneurship, and AI-powered learning.
💼 FutureTech Biz (FT Biz)
Helping entrepreneurs, startups, and industry leaders discover technologies and opportunities that improve productivity, competitiveness, and business growth.
🏛️ FutureTech Gov (FT Gov)
A new advocacy track focused on empowering local and provincial government units and government agencies to understand and adopt technology solutions that improve public service delivery.
The common thread across all FutureTech conversations will be Artificial Intelligence as a productivity tool and a disruptor across education, business, governance, and innovation.
The goal is not just to talk about technology, but to build a community that uses technology to solve real problems.
We also discussed reconnecting with the early pioneers and startups that were part of this journey from the beginning, while welcoming more mature startups that have already commercialized their technologies and are ready to share their experiences, solutions, and success stories.
Tentatively, FutureTech 2026 is being planned as a 3-day event during the last week of October or the first week of November 2026. More details and activities will be shared as planning progresses.
But before the big event, the real work happens through conversations, partnerships, and community building.
