DDOPAA 2026: Mission Accomplished!

Yesterday marked the 5th and final day of the Davao de Oro Provincial Athletic Association (DDOPAA) Meet 2026 in Compostela!

From day one to the final buzzer, our Red Cross Emergency Medical Services and Comms teams stayed on high alert—delivering trackside first aid, monitoring heat safety, and keeping venue communications running without a hitch.

A massive thank you to all our dedicated Red Cross volunteers (including our brothers from the Agusan del Sur Chapter who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with us!), local organizers, and health workers. Congratulations to all the student-athletes who competed with passion and pride!

Our brave volunteers from the Philippine Red Cross - Davao de Oro Chapter recently took on technical rappelling training to sharpen their high-angle rescue and emergency response skills. From mastering rope management to descending safely under pressure, these dedicated individuals are preparing to respond whenever disaster strikes.

Our Philippine Red Cross - Davao De Oro Chapter probationary volunteers recently completed a comprehensive practical demonstration on Bandaging, Splinting, and Lifting & Moving techniques.

These core skills are essential for ensuring swift, safe, and effective emergency response when every second counts. As part of their rigorous 6-month probationary training program, our trainees are continuously sharpening their technical capabilities to better serve the community.

The Philippine Red Cross - Davao de Oro Chapter conducted a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Demonstration for the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Students of Colegio de Nabunturan (CDN) under the 1103rd CDC, 11th RCDG, RESCOM, PA on August 30, 2026, at Colegio de Nabunturan (CDN), Nabunturan, Davao de Oro, as part of the continued celebration of National CPR Day 2026.

For ROTC students, CPR training strengthens their readiness to respond in emergencies. The demonstration equipped them with essential lifesaving skills and confidence to take immediate action when every second counts.
