LOOK| Former Sulong Dunong scholars and now licensed professionals, the Cabanig siblings, were recently honored by the Provincial Government of Davao de Oro for their outstanding achievements in their respective licensure examinations.
Engr. Jovanie B. Cabanig, a graduate of University of Mindanao successfully passed the April 2025 Civil Engineering Licensure Examination, while his brother, Celso B. Cabanig, LPTโwho also graduated Cum Laude from Davao de Oro State Collegeโearned his license in the March 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers.
In recognition of their accomplishments, the siblings were each awarded a certificate of recognition and a โฑ10,000 cash incentive. The awards were conferred in the presence of outgoing Governor Dorothy Gonzaga, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Josephine Frasco, and Provincial Sulong Dunong Focal Person Preciosa Toledo. The initiative was also made possible through the efforts of Boyet Silva, President of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) in their barangay.
The Sulong Dunong Program, a scholarship initiative of the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU), continues to invest in the youth of Davao de Oro by supporting their educational journey and celebrating their professional milestones.
