𝗧𝗶𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗻'𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗲 🌊🦈

On March 7, 2026, the Sharkbite Debate Society conducted its final meeting for the school year 2025–2026.

It started with an informal debate between the Juniors and Seniors on the motion: “𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗲’𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆?” The Seniors represented the Government, while the Juniors stood as the Opposition. After a tough and engaging match, the Seniors emerged victorious and later shared their tips and strategies to help the Juniors improve their debating skills.

Another agenda the Tiburons tackled was the continuation of the election, where Grade 11 students were given the opportunity to showcase their values and leadership skills to prove they were fit for the role.

Lastly, the Tiburons played a game of Impostor, which made them suspect and question one another. Ultimately, it was a successful and memorable last day for the school year. 🎤🦈

𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀🦈✨️

Last February 28, Tiburons had a meaningful time together through a series of activities. The morning session started with the judiciary hearing, addressing important concerns about organizations' members.

Tiburons also immersed themselves with the energizer game "Pass the MessagexCharades" that brought everyone the energy and strengthed teamwork.

It was then followed by the nomination of positions for the next set of officers. Grade 11 nomenees were given an opportunity to prove their value, competence, and leadership potential through their merits. They were assessed by Sharkbite's set of officers and members who've served as panelists.

𝗧𝗶𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

On January 31, 2026, Tiburons participated in a morning public speaking workshop with Mr. Floilan Dolor ✨, who guided them through the essential components of delivering an effective speech. 🗣

The discussion emphasized the importance of confidence, clear organization of ideas, a compelling introduction, and a well-developed body. They also watched a TED Talk that explored how procrastination impacts both short-term performance and long-term aspirations, highlighting the psychological battle between instant gratification and future success.

Following the lecture, students completed practical exercises aimed at strengthening their communication skills and fostering a more proactive attitude toward self-improvement and productivity.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗟𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗕𝗨𝗗𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗦, 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘
Tiburons Budget Battle: Over Where the Future Should Invest
In a spirited British Parliamentary debate, the House deliberated whether this year’s budget should prioritise education or agriculture 🎓🌾.
Representing the Government:
Prime Minister Mainit, Kaileigh;
Deputy Prime Minister Umali, Dione; and
Government Whip Blaza, Jazzy Anne
made a compelling case for education’s long-term benefits.
On the Opposition side:
Leader of the Opposition Fabregas, John Christian;
Deputy Leader of the Opposition Ado, Jello Miguel; and
Opposition Whip Alzate, Kevin Andrei
vigorously defended the importance of agriculture.
Both teams performed exceptionally well, demonstrating strong arguments and teamwork 💬🧠. Though only one side could take the win, the Government ultimately secured the decision. Beyond the verdict, the debate sharpened skills and confidence, preparing our debaters for future challenges.
Adding a creative touch to the day, juniors and seniors buck buddies presented heartfelt poems they had thoughtfully prepared ✨. These readings created a reflective atmosphere and served as a meaningful way for them to get to know each other better.

𝗛𝗘𝗬… 𝗛𝗘𝗬… 𝗛𝗘𝗬!!! 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗚𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗗, 𝗗𝗘𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗬𝗟𝗘🗣️🎤

Sharkbite kicked off the morning with sharpening their voices with modulation drills through vocal warmups that was lead by Ms. Jazzy Anne Blaza. The tiburons also dove into lessons with Mr. Dione Peter Umali, harnessing necessary skills that can hone one’s debating abilities. ⚖️💡

Thinking fast with impromptu speeches, and tripping (and laughing) through tongue twisters— the tiburons sure are one step closer to sounding confident, clear, and convincing 🗯️🔥
