Gospel: Matthew 10:26–33 | Fear No One

Lord Jesus, fear often keeps me from fully following You and speaking the truth with courage. Strengthen my faith so that I may trust in Your constant presence and protection. When challenges arise, remind me that I am precious in Your eyes. May I confidently witness to Your love through my words, actions, and service to others. Amen.

Gospel: Matthew 6:24–34 | Trust in God's Providence

Lord, many worries and uncertainties fill my mind each day. Yet You remind me that our Heavenly Father knows what we need even before we ask. Help me surrender my anxieties and place my trust in Your loving care. May I seek first Your kingdom and become a source of encouragement to those carrying heavy burdens. Amen.

Every new beginning starts with someone willing to believe that hope is still possible.

On June 13, 2026, forty newly admitted Persons Deprived of Liberty took their first steps in the Bagito Program through the Bagito Orientation held at the Our Lady of Grace Chapel inside the Reception and Diagnostic Center of the New Bilibid Prison.

Through joyful songs, prayer, meaningful conversations, and shared stories, they experienced a warm welcome from our volunteers and chapel workers. One simple activity invited each participant to share the title of their life today, revealing stories of pain, courage, and hope. It reminded us that every person deserves to be heard, respected, and given the opportunity to begin again.

The day ended with nutritious meals generously provided by the Loaves and Fish Foundation, a beautiful expression of love that nourished both body and spirit.

Hope is built one conversation, one lesson, and one life at a time.

On June 11 to 12, 2026, the Philippine Jesuit Prison Service Foundation, Inc. gathered staff, volunteers, and partners for the Scholarship Module Writing Workshop FY 2026 to 2027 with the theme Shining with Faith, Hope, and Love.

Together, they developed psycho spiritual formation modules that will accompany our scholars, children of Persons Deprived of Liberty, together with their parents and guardians, on a journey of healing, resilience, purpose, and service.

These are more than learning materials. They are messages of hope that remind every scholar that their story does not end with hardship. With faith, love, and a caring community, brighter tomorrows are always possible.

Read the full story on our blog and discover how collaboration continues to transform lives through education and holistic formation.

Gospel: Matthew 6:19–23 | Treasures in Heaven

Lord, it is easy to become attached to things that fade and pass away. Teach me to seek what truly matters and to store up treasures of faith, compassion, generosity, and love. May my heart remain focused on You and attentive to the needs of others, especially those longing for hope, dignity, and a new beginning. Amen.

Gospel: Matthew 6:7–15 | The Lord's Prayer

Lord, You teach us to call God our Father and to trust in His loving care. Help me pray with confidence, knowing that You listen to my hopes, fears, and deepest needs. Give me the grace to forgive as I have been forgiven and to become a channel of mercy in my family, community, and prison ministry. Amen.

Gospel: Matthew 6:1–6, 16–18 | Serving God with Sincerity

Lord, remind me that the good I do is ultimately for You and not for recognition or praise. Purify my intentions so that my prayers, sacrifices, and acts of service may flow from a genuine love for You and for others. Help me remain humble in my mission and faithful in serving those who are often unseen, forgotten, or struggling in silence. In Your holy name, Amen.

Care for Carers Batch 2: NCAF Leadership Journey for BuCor Personnel

From June 4 to 5, 2026, the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation (NCAF) and the Philippine Jesuit Prison Service Foundation, Inc. (PJPS) gathered Bureau of Corrections personnel for Batch 2 of the Leadership Journey Retreat Workshop entitled Care for Carers at the Montserrat Center for Religious Formation in Silang, Cavite.

For two days, participants stepped away from the demands of their work and entered a space of reflection, prayer, listening, and renewal. Through personal testimonies, discernment, and meaningful conversations, they were reminded that leadership is rooted not only in competence, but also in conscience, compassion, and service.

At PJPS, we believe that prison ministry includes accompanying not only Persons Deprived of Liberty and their families, but also the dedicated men and women who serve within the corrections system every day.

Because when we care for carers, we strengthen communities, foster hope, and nurture leaders who help transform lives.

Gospel: Matthew 5:43–48 | Love Your Enemies

Lord Jesus, You call us to love not only those who love us but even those who hurt and oppose us. This is not easy, especially when wounds and disappointments run deep, yet You continue to show us the way of mercy. Teach me to see others through Your compassionate eyes and to respond with kindness rather than resentment. May Your love transform my heart and help me become an instrument of reconciliation and peace. Amen.

Gospel: Matthew 5:38–42 | Turning the Other Cheek

Lord, Your call to respond with love rather than retaliation is often difficult. Grant me patience when I am hurt, misunderstood, or treated unfairly.
Help me choose mercy over resentment and generosity over self interest so that Your peace may reign in my heart and in the lives of others. Amen.
