✨ A decade of voices, growth, and confidence! ✨

MicroSpeak celebrated 10 incredible years last November 27, 2025!
Huge thanks to our charter members who laid the foundation lead by Charter President Jared Remulta, our current members who keep the spirit alive, and our distinguished guests DTM Dulce Ranosa and Abe Clarito who joined us to make this milestone even more meaningful.

Here’s to many more years of learning, leading, and inspiring. 🥂💙

🕊️ MicroSpeak Word of the Week: Ostracize
Verb
Pronunciation: /ˈɒs.trə.saɪz/
Syllables: os-tra-cize (3 syllables)

Meaning:

To exclude someone from a group, activity, or community—often deliberately and by consensus.

Why it resonates:

Ostracize is a word that reminds us of the quiet harm exclusion can cause.
It’s the silence after someone’s courage is met with coldness.
The invisible wall that forms when connection is withheld.
The unspoken message that says, “You don’t belong.”

In Toastmasters, we choose a different path.
We listen to the hesitant voice.
We welcome the quirky, the quiet, the bold.
Because when one member is ostracized, the whole club loses a story, a spark, a chance to grow.

✨ Sample Sentences
• In Toastmasters, we uplift every voice—because even one member feeling ostracized can silence the courage of many.
• A single harsh comment can ostracize a new speaker before they’ve had a chance to bloom.
• True leadership is knowing how to include—not ostracize—those who think or speak differently.
• A thriving club culture ensures no one feels ostracized, even when their style or story is unique.

🌟 Word of the Week:

Ebullient
Adjective
Pronunciation: ih-BUHL-yuhnt

💫 Meaning:

Overflowing with enthusiasm, excitement, or high spirits—radiating energy that uplifts and inspires.

💖 Why it resonates:

Ebullience is joy in motion.
It’s the sparkle in someone’s eyes when they speak with passion, the laughter that ripples through a room, the magnetic energy that turns a speech into a celebration.

In Toastmasters, ebullience shows up in animated gestures, vibrant storytelling, and the kind of presence that makes people lean in.
It’s not just about being loud—it’s about being alive, expressive, and deeply connected.

Whether you’re hosting, evaluating, or delivering a speech, an ebullient spirit transforms the ordinary into the unforgettable.

✨ Sample Sentences:

• Her ebullient delivery turned a simple anecdote into a comedy showcase.
• The room buzzed with ebullient energy as the club celebrated its milestone.
• His ebullient stage presence made even the quietest members feel seen and included.
• Ebullience isn’t just performance—it’s the heartbeat of connection, courage, and joy.

MicroSpeak Quote of the Week

“The most powerful gift we can offer is ourselves.
Our presence. Our stories. Our voice.
Through Toastmasters, I choose to serve—not with wealth, but with words.
Not with position, but with purpose.
Because like Nanay, I believe the real treasure is not what we keep—but what we give away in service to others.”

🕊️ Word of the Week:

Ascension
Noun
Pronunciation: uh-SEN-shuhn

Meaning:
The act of rising to a higher level, position, or state—physically, spiritually, or metaphorically.

Why it resonates:
Ascension is more than upward motion—it’s transformation.
It’s the quiet courage to rise after a fall, the bold decision to lead when called, the gentle unfolding of someone stepping into their voice.

In Toastmasters, ascension happens in every speech, every role, every moment of growth.
It’s the journey from hesitation to confidence, from silence to impact.
