A FATHER TO MANY: DADDY EDZ’S JOURNEY OF CARE AND COMMITMENT

For 18 years, Edelberto “Daddy Edz” has dedicated his life to supporting children, young people, and families through his work with SOS Children's Villages Pilipinas .

His journey began in 1998 as a volunteer music teacher before officially joining SOS Children's Village Manila as a Program Co-worker in 2002. He later became Village Director of Children’s Village Bataan in 2018.

SOS Children's Villages Pilipinas expresses its deep concern over the recent shooting incident in Tacloban City. We are relieved that our program participant affected by the incident is safe and receiving the necessary support.

TASKUS BRINGS JOY TO CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE OF SOS MANILA

On June 6, 2026, TaskUs Chateau Ridiculous employees spent a meaningful day with children, young people, and families at SOS Children's Village Manila through the “Aunties and Uncles for a Day” program. The highlight of the visit was helping prepare meals for each family house, creating moments of togetherness and care.
The activity brought smiles and laughter while strengthening connections with the SOS community.

On June 9, 2026, SOS Children's Villages Pilipinas , together with Goodwill Ambassador and Miss International 2025 4th Runner-up Myrna Esguerra , welcomed Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2025 Annabelle McDonnell, Binibining Pilipinas 2025 2nd Runner-up Kathleen Espenido, and 12 of the 2026 Binibining Pilipinas candidates. The Binibinis spent meaningful time with children and youth in care, distributed school supplies and art materials, and served as an inspiration to them.
