The Philippine Nurses Association – Rizal Chapter proudly served as the Medical Team during the Mandirigma Race Philippines Trail Run held on September 27, 2026 at Tanay Epic Park.

This medical mission was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Volunteer Doctor and Nurses of Rizal of:

Maligayang Araw ng mga Bayani! 🇵🇭

Ang araw na ito ay para sa lahat ng mga bayani sa iba’t ibang disiplina at larangan. Para sa ating mga nars, ito rin ay araw natin—sa bawat mahabang duty, sakripisyo, at malasakit na iniaalay natin para sa kapwa at sa bayan.

Ngunit ang kabayanihan ay hindi dapat nagtatapos sa papuri lamang. Ang ating mga nars at healthcare workers ay nararapat makatanggap ng makatarungang sahod, sapat na benepisyo, at ligtas na working conditions at makatarungang patient load.

Sapagkat ang tunay na pagkilala sa mga bayani ay ang pagbibigay sa kanila ng nararapat.

Muli, maligayang Araw ng mga Bayani!

Mabuhay ang ating mga nars!

September 2 | Philippine Nurses Association Foundation Anniversary

A vision became an organization.
An organization became a movement.
And that movement continues to shape generations of Filipino nurses.

Today, we celebrate the Foundation Anniversary of the Philippine Nurses Association, honoring the vision of Anastacia Giron-Tupas and the generations of nurses who have carried that vision forward.

The years may have brought changes to nursing, but the call remains:

To serve with compassion.
To lead with integrity.
To stand in unity.
To uphold the dignity of our profession.

The PNA is more than an organization—it is a legacy entrusted from one generation of nurses to another.

As we celebrate, may we remember that we are not only beneficiaries of this legacy. We are its keepers, its stewards, and its future.

🕊 Our deepest condolences to the family, colleagues, and loved ones of Nurse Kelvin.

It is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of Nurse Kelvin, a fellow nurse and member of the PNA Samar Chapter who lost his life while in the line of duty.

Nurse Kelvin was serving as a Department of Health (DOH) Nurse under the Nurse Deployment Program. He had just completed a Measles-Rubella-Supplementary Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) in Barangay Canhawan, Catbalogan, where he and his team helped deliver the DOH’s vaccination program to children in the community.

After fulfilling his duty, Nurse Kelvin and his companions proceeded to a small port and waited for their boat ride home to Catbalogan. While resting on a bench at a waiting shed, a concrete slab from the structure suddenly collapsed, trapping him beneath the debris. Despite the immediate efforts of his companions to revive him, he tragically could not be saved.

He served wholeheartedly. He went where he was needed, bringing care and protection to the communities he served. His final moments came not only as a nurse doing his duty, but as a public servant who had just finished caring for others.

May we remember Nurse Kelvin for his dedication, compassion, and service to the Filipino people.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him. May they be given strength and comfort during this difficult time.

May his memory and service live on. 🕊

Rest in peace, Nurse Kelvin. Thank you for your service. 🤍
