This victory came just days after his gold at the Halberstadt Pole Vault Meet, where he cleared 5.76 meters โ marking his second straight gold in Germany . As EJ himself shared:
"5.83m for the gold in front of a packed J-Town! Was far from smooth competition and some struggles during warm-up and earlier bars but happy to scrape an 80 bar."

EJ has long been a symbol of excellence and resilience โ dedicating his victories to the 113 million Filipinos worldwide . His consistency speaks volumes: he has now cleared at least 5.80 meters in four of his last five meets, climbing back to world No. 13 .
As EJ himself has said:
"I love my country. I was born Filipino, and I shall always be Filipino!"
