How do you deal with stress? Who do you reach out to when life becomes overwhelming? And what helps you cheer up after a difficult day?
Today's session took participants on The Journey of Wellbeing, an interactive speaking board game designed to encourage meaningful conversations about emotions, personal growth, and mental wellbeing.
Today's session also took a more reflective approach. Rather than focusing on fast-paced challenges, participants spent time getting to know one another through meaningful conversations about their experiences, feelings, and personal goals. As they shared stories, offered support, and exchanged advice, they practiced using a variety of wellbeing-related expressions, collocations, and phrasal verbs. These expressions helped participants talk about overcoming challenges, building healthy habits, maintaining relationships, and supporting one another through different life experiences.
The session also focused on building communication skills through clarification questions, active listening, and extended discussions. By speaking about real-life experiences and future goals, participants had multiple opportunities to develop both fluency and confidence in a supportive environment.
After all, language learning is not only about expressing ideas. It is also about connecting with others, sharing experiences, and understanding different perspectives.
