Dogs of Moalboal Spay & Neuter

Dogs of Moalboal Spay & Neuter We are a SEC registered, NON Government, NON Profit Charity. Paw it Forward – Pay 1, Fix 2
It’s simple, powerful, and it works.

A community of people focused on reducing rabies & the population of stray dogs & abandoned puppies in the Moalboal area, through consistent monthly pop-up Anti Rabies & Spay/Neuter Clinics. Here’s how: When you bring your own pet dog to our monthly Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic, the small fee you pay doesn’t just cover your dog, it also funds the spaying or neutering of a stray Moalboal dog or

supports a Moalboal low income family to fix their dog. One by one, we are reducing the number of unwanted litters, and slowly but surely, we are breaking the cycle. We’re not just treating the symptom, we’re going to the root of the problem. And we’re doing it together, as a community. Get in touch to book your dog into our next Clinic.

Remember Jessica Lee and her mum Cherry? Well, this wonderful family truly are the gift that keeps on giving and giving…
Her lovely mum, Cherry, has again very generously made a donation to help even more stray dogs receive the care they need.
Acts of kindness like this, always leave us feeling incredibly humbled and deeply grateful.
Thank you, Cherry, and your beautiful family, for your generosity and your kind hearts. You are helping us move one step closer to a stray-free and rabies-free Moalboal. 💛

COMMUNITY KINDNESS IN ACTION
Every month, the amazing team at PAWS Grooming Pet Supplies and Accessories Shop generously donate a big bag of dog food to support our CNVR (Capture, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) program, allowing our Volunteers to feed and earn the trust of targeted female stray dogs around Moalboal, with the long term view of spaying them.
Overtime we had noticed this sweet girl had made Paws her home. Sadly, she was heavily pregnant yet again; facing what would have been her umpteenth litter of puppies destined for life on the streets.
As a courtesy to Freddy and the team at Paws, Dogs of Moalboal took her along to our recent clinic where she was safely spayed. Paws then lovingly provided all of her aftercare until she was fully healed and ready to return to her happy life.
Here she is now, healthy, healed, puppy-free, and giving a very big thank-you to Freddy for helping change her future.
This is what community teamwork looks like. Local businesses, volunteers, donors, and animal lovers all working together to humanely stop the cycle of stray dog overpopulation in Moalboal. If you can help in any way big or small, please let us know.
It truly takes a community to create lasting change.

Every year in Moalboal, far too many puppies are born into a life of hardship, neglect, abandonment and uncertainty. But this is something we can change together.
Spaying and neutering is the only proven humane way to break the cycle of stray dogs and reduce suffering in our community.
Every responsible pet owner who chooses to spay or neuter helps create a safer, healthier future for both animals and people.
Our goal is simple: a stray-free Moalboal by 2035; and with the support of the community, it’s possible.
Join the growing Animal Welfare Awareness movement in Moalboal and help give our dogs the chance to live happy, puppy-free lives without adding to the growing stray dog population.

Yesterday, in collaboration with Doc Cindy of Zion Animal Clinic - Moalboal — we successfully administered free anti-rabies vaccinations to 55 dogs and cats, predominantly dogs.

We were doubly grateful to Doc Cindy yesterday, for helping us when we ran low of vaccine and also to Lena Vdin for racing down there to pick up the donated stocks 🙏

As part of our ongoing CNVR Program (Capture, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return), 22 of the vaccinated dogs were caught stray/free roaming dogs from various areas of Moalboal.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Justine Nicole Piedad for volunteering her services last minute to administer the anti rabies vaccine. Without you this achievement would not be possible.

Together, we remain united in our mission of working toward a Rabies-Free Moalboal by 2035.

Yesterday, we held our monthly Spay, Neuter, and Free Anti-Rabies Clinic and it was a huge success. With 4 vets, 39 dogs were spayed/neutered - 32 females & 3 males and 55 dogs were vaccinated against rabies.

Of the dogs fixed:
• 8 were stray dogs
• 21 belonged to low-income families

Our 8 stray dogs were humanely captured as part of our CNVR (Capture, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) Program from around Moalboal.

Our deepest thanks go to Basdiot Barangay Captain Sir Pedro Redoble and his team for allowing us to use the Basdiot Community Stage as our clinic venue and Moalboal Dagway paraiso for your continued support.

A huge shout out to our visiting volunteer vets; Authophagy Canton, Joni Franz Davis and Ed Franciscus Cabahug. It was an absolute pleasure to work alongside such compassionate and professional individuals, thank you so very much.

We would also like to sincerely thank everyone who helped make this clinic such a success:
• Our responsible and caring pet owners
• Our professional and compassionate veterinary team, lead by Dr Reive of Aballe Vet Care
• Yum Yum Dog Food for showcasing their nutritionally balanced dog food
• Our dedicated DOM volunteers, who work tirelessly before, during, and after every clinic.

We are also very grateful to Quo Vadis Dive Resort, Moalboal, Moalboal for the use of your truck, and to Dennis for safely transporting stray and free-roaming dogs to and from the clinic, and also Tongo Hill Cottages, Kat Tandoc Vaño Uy of FFG EDEN Resort Moalboal and Magic Island Dive Resort for sponsoring our volunteer Vets and Vets Assistants overnight stay image.png

Every month, we are humbled by the incredible support of our local businesses: El Mercado de moalboal in collaboration with Filippo Pizza Moalboal for sponsoring our handmade lunches, and to Okeanos Hotel & Bistro Moalboal for keeping our vets and volunteers energized by bringing sponsored afternoon iced coffees and beautiful smiles to our venue.

Continued thanks to PAWS Grooming Pet Supplies and Accessories Shop for supporting our CNVR (Capture, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) program through monthly dog food donations, and to Angie Briggs of Moalboal Eco Lodge for continuing to support low income families dogs every month with sponsorship and logistics.

Your generosity allows us to focus every peso on our mission: making Moalboal a stray-free and rabies-free community by 2035.
