Usbong began as a humble school project in 2017. Along the journey, people left, plans were doubted, and the pandemic nearly uprooted the entire vision. At times, even the sun seemed hesitant to shine on the path ahead. But like a resilient plant, Usbong kept finding new cracks in the soil to rise through β because a purpose this meaningful refuses to die.
Usbong Community Livelihood Training is more than just a livelihood program. It is purpose-driven, rooted in sustainability, empowerment, and long-term growth. By cultivating meaningful skills and transforming outdated newspapers into handcrafted, plantable pencils, Usbong supports the Milaor community in creating products that are impactful, sustainable, and aligned with the UN SDGs. πΏβοΈ
This initiative reminds us that even the smallest seed can grow into something strong and sustainable.
