In celebration of Women’s Month, the NSTP-CWTS Council, in partnership with the Guidance and Testing Unit of SCC, successfully conducted a seminar on RA 11596, an act prohibiting the practice of child marriage, fostering awareness, responsibility, and advocacy among students.
The activity served as a meaningful platform for learning, where participants were guided to understand the importance of the law and its role in promoting respect, protection, and safety within the community. Through insightful discussions led by Atty. John Haye Deluvio, the seminar empowered students to become more aware, vigilant, and proactive in upholding the rights and dignity of every individual.
More than just a seminar, it was a reminder that education is a powerful tool in building a community where voices are heard, rights are protected, and equality is championed. Indeed, the successful conduct of this activity reflects the shared commitment of the NSTP Council and the Guidance and Testing Unit of SCC in advancing awareness and support for women, especially in this meaningful celebration of Women’s Month.
