The Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) in partnership with the College of Arts and Sciences(CAS) and Community Extension Services(CES), conducted a seminar/ workshop with the themed, โ€œOrdinance Crafting for Good Governance: Empowering BLGU Officials in Local Legislation as part of the San Eugenio Community Project (SECop): Enhancing Knowledge and Livelihood Skills for Building Sustainable Futuresโ€, held on April 11, 2026, at Barangay Tomado, Aleosan, North Cotabato. The program was headed by Mr. Mark John M. Manahan, LPT, MAED- TSS, (CAS CES Focal Person) with the support of Ms. Clarez Charity P. Moskito, LPT, MATCP (CAS Dean), and also with the support of CAS Faculties that serves as a manpower for the full implementation of the activity.

Dr. Lorienel D. Madeloso, MPA, (BPA Program Head), serve as a keynote speaker during the activity sharing his knowledge and expertise in Ordinance Crafting to ensure that the BLGU Tomado will be equipped with knowledge and skills in terms of crafting ordinance for the welfare of the constituents of Barangay Tomado. Dr. Madeloso, also highlights the importance of ordinances in the operation of a BLGU, and the role of BLGU Officials in ensuring that all ordinances, resolutions, policies crafted are for making Barangay Tomado a better place. He also included the importance of public consultation in terms of decision-making to ensure that all individuals in the community are heard and represented, and to ensure that no one will be left behind.

The activity was fun and engaging as the participants from Barangay Tomado including Barangay Officials and IPโ€™s communities engage with the workshop activity where they undergo the process of ordinance crafting in order for them to practice in crafting ordinance for the betterment of their community.

The Bachelor of Public Administration of Notre Dame of Midsayap College participated in the first- ever Cotabato Province Public Administration Summit 2026, with the theme โ€œGOVERNANCE FUTURES: Building Networks, Nurturing Leaders, and Inspiring Public Serviceโ€, held at the University of Southern Mindanao (USM), Kabacan North Cotabato on February 20-21, 2026. This 2 day summit was participated by different schools from Notre Dame of Midsayap College(NDMC), University of Southern Mindanao(USM), Makilala Institute of Science and Technology(MIST), and Southern Baptist College(SBC), showcasing their strength in different fields.

This activity aims to strengthen the Public Administration courses in North Cotabato and to strengthen its mission in public service. The 2 day activity was filled with fun, excitement and anticipation from academic, cultural, sports that build not just only camaraderie and sportsmanship but also honed young minds into Policy Analysis Competition, Public Policy Debate and Innovative Governance that enable participants to deepen their knowledge into analyzing pressing public issues, providing evidence- based policy recommendations for shaping governance futures.

May this partnership continue to flourish into a meaningful reality in serving the Filipino people.
