Last Thursday (February 13, 2025), we braved the rain and made our way to Brgy. Malagyan. 𝐘𝐞𝐬, 𝓶𝓪𝓾𝓵𝓪𝓷. 𝐘𝐞𝐬, 𝓶𝓪𝓭𝓾𝓵𝓪𝓼. Pero 𝔂𝓮𝓼 𝓷𝓪 𝔂𝓮𝓼, 𝔀𝓪𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓰 𝓶𝓪𝓴𝓪𝓴𝓪𝓹𝓲𝓰𝓲𝓵! Tuloy pa rin! ☔🐾

Pagdating namin sa Barangay, we were greeted with 𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒎 𝒔𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒏 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔 ●⁀‿⁀● by the barangay officials, Kᴀɢᴀᴡᴀᴅ Rᴏǫᴜᴇ Nᴜꜰᴀʙʟᴇ, Kᴀɢᴀᴡᴀᴅ Rᴏsᴇᴍᴀʀʏ Gᴀʟᴠᴀɴ, ᴀɴᴅ Kᴀɢᴀᴡᴀᴅ Aɴᴀ Jᴇᴀɴᴇ Mᴀɴɢʟᴀʟ-ʟᴀɴ!! 🤗 Agad naman kaming dumiretso sa goal namin na 𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙡𝙖 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙮𝙚𝙠𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜 𝙠𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙖𝙣𝙤 𝙞𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙖 𝙠𝙤𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙙, 𝙡𝙖𝙡𝙤 𝙣𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙢𝙜𝙖 𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙜𝙖𝙡𝙖 𝙖𝙩 𝙥𝙪𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙡𝙖-𝙜𝙖𝙡𝙖. 🐱🐶 With our formal letter in hand, we officially forwarded our proposal, explaining our project and how it could help not just the stray cats and dogs, but also the community as a whole. 📔📝

Then came the exciting part — 𝓭𝓲𝓼𝓬𝓾𝓼𝓼𝓲𝓸𝓷𝓼! 💬 We sat down with the barangay officials to talk about the challenges, logistics, and how they could help bring our project to life. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗸𝗮, 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗯𝗮? 𝓨𝓔𝓢𝓢 𝓸𝓻 𝓨𝓔𝓢𝓢𝓢?? ✅ 𝓨𝓮𝓼, 𝓽𝓱𝓮𝔂’𝓻𝓮 𝓽𝓸𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓵𝔂 𝓸𝓷 𝓫𝓸𝓪𝓻𝓭! 🥳🎉

By the end of the meeting, one thing was certain:

We are 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓟𝓵𝓪𝓼𝓽𝓲𝓬𝓼, a dedicated group of students from the 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘝𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘴, working on our 𝘕𝘚𝘛𝘗 — 𝘊𝘞𝘛𝘚 𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘤𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 under 𝘚𝘪𝘳 𝘙𝘺𝘢𝘯 𝘝𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘗𝘪𝘰 𝘏𝘪𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘴. Our mission? To address the growing number of stray animals in 𝘉𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘺 𝘔𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘺𝘢𝘯, 𝘔𝘪𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘰 by providing 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒆𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔 to as many cats and dogs as possible.

Uncontrolled stray populations lead to 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴, 𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯, and 𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨. By humanely reducing their numbers, we not only improve animal welfare but also 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒔𝒂𝒇𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆.
