This October, we celebrate the spirit of Scouting and the journey that shapes us to lead, serve, and make a difference.

As Senior Scouts of Saluysoy Integrated School, may we continue to carry the Scout spirit wherever we go — ready to serve, prepared to lead, and willing to make a difference.

🌱 PROJECT NARRA CONTINUES: From Seeds to Seedlings! 🌳

The journey of Project NARRA – Nurturing Advocates for Reforestation, Resilience, and Action continues as the Saluysoy Integrated School Senior Scouts move forward to the Propagation Stage of our Narra Tree Seed project!

For the past two months, our Senior Scouts have been learning through actual experience—conducting different approaches, observing growth, documenting results, and embracing both successes and failures in propagating Narra seeds. 🌱🔍

Some seeds successfully germinated and developed, while others did not survive. These trial-and-error experiences became valuable lessons in patience, environmental stewardship, observation, and scientific thinking. Every unsuccessful attempt provided an opportunity to adjust our methods and learn what works best for our future seedlings.

🌿 LEARNING THROUGH TRIAL AND ERROR

The propagation stage reminds us that growing a tree is a process. It requires patience, consistency, proper care, and the willingness to learn from every result.

Our Senior Scouts continue to explore ways to improve the growing medium and care practices for the Narra seedlings. Among the materials being explored is used coffee ground, which can contribute organic matter and nutrients as it breaks down. However, coffee grounds are best incorporated carefully—preferably composted or mixed with other organic materials—rather than applied heavily or directly around young plants.

From every seed, we learn.
From every failure, we improve.
From every successful seedling, we grow hope. 🌱💚

The journey of Project NARRA continues—one seed, one Scout, and one meaningful action at a time.

Saluysoy IS Senior Scouts
Serving. Learning. Growing. Leading for a Greener Tomorrow.

⚜️ LEARNING, LEADING, AND SERVING THROUGH SCOUTING! ⚜️

Today, the Saluysoy Integrated School Senior Scouts conducted an Advancement Training for our new member Scouts, focusing on strengthening their knowledge and understanding of the fundamental Scout Ideals and Scout Method.

Through discussions, hands-on activities, and collaborative learning, our new Scouts gained a deeper appreciation of the Scout Oath, Scout Law, Scout Motto, and the principles that guide every Scout in becoming responsible, disciplined, trustworthy, and service-oriented individuals.

Adding meaning to the training was the active participation of our experienced Senior Scouts who served as peer tutors and assistants. They guided the new members, shared their knowledge and experiences, demonstrated Scouting skills, and provided encouragement throughout the activities. 📚⚜️

This peer-learning approach reminds us that Scouting is learned not only through instruction, but also through example, teamwork, and fellowship. As Scouts teach and assist one another, they strengthen both their skills and their commitment to the Scout Spirit.

May this training inspire our new Scouts to continue their journey with character, leadership, teamwork, and a heart for service—while encouraging our senior members to lead by example.

Together, we learn. Together, we grow. Together, we become better Scouts. ⚜️💙

We appreciate your guidance and inspiration as you lead by example and always willing to serve.
Your actions remind us that being a good scout is not measured by the power of the position but the ability to influence and inspire those around you.
