Global Handwashing Day at Ubihan High School is a timely and crucial initiative, given the current rise in influenza cases in the Philippines. Proper handwashing is a primary defense against the spread of influenza and other infectious diseases.

❗How to Handwash Properly ❗

1. Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold).

2. Apply soap.

3. Lather your hands, including the backs, between your fingers, and under your nails.

4. Scrub for at least 20 seconds.

5. Rinse well under clean, running water.

6. Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them.

❓ When to Wash Hands ❓

- Before, during, and after preparing food

- Before eating food

- After using the toilet

- After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing

- After touching garbage

- After being in a public place and touching surfaces

- Whenever your hands look dirty

Today, Ubihan High School, takes part for Global Handwashing Day! Let's get clean—proper handwashing is a key for a safer well-being and surrounding. 🙌 A basic step is a huge part of a result. Let's make handwashing a habit. 🫧

Ubihan High School Eco Day! 🌳

All learners from Ubihan High School came together to participate in the 1st week of "Gulayan sa Tahanan"- by planting their seedlings at their homes 🏠🌱

Ensuring that they do their part to bring more sustainable and green to their communities, fight climate change, and make the planet a healthier place for all.

We're excited to see these plants grow 🍃 and make a huge difference!

Gulayan sa Sintang Paaralan! 🌱

"When you plant a tree, you plant a hope for the future." - Lydia Sessions.

"Our task must be to free ourselves... by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty." - Albert Einstein

On August 18 and 19, 2025, an environmentally-focused seminar of Schools Division of Meycauayan in partnership with WWF (World Wide Funds for Nature), titled "ECOLead 2025: Meycaueno Learners for a Greener Tomorrow" was held at the Kariktan ng Meycauayan Eco Park, Pajo, City of Meycauayan. Three (3) YES-O officers,
Yes-O President Michaela Jennica Condecido,
Yes-O P.I.O Robert Jay Legaspi,
and Yes-O P.O Jazhley Peach Reyes, along with five (5) SSLG officers,
SSLG Vice President Ryza Condecido,
SSLG P.O Lian Cyriel Dela Cruz,
SSLG Grade 7 Rep. Hanna Jannel Reyes,
SSLG Grade 8 Rep. Dhan Gabrielle Rodela,
SSLG Grade 12 Rep. John Matthew Condecido, are the representatives of UHS, with the SSLG Adviser, Sir Anthony D. De Domingo.

ECOLead 2025 was a meaningful journey filled with invaluable insights, hands-on experiences, and profound realizations. Students delved into topics such as biodiversity conservation, climate change, waste management, food sustainability, and education for sustainable development. Engaging in interactive activities allowed attendees to connect with nature, participate in clean-up efforts, and plant vegetables, fostering a deeper appreciation for the environment. 🍃🌳

This event highlighted a crucial reality: as humans, we hold the key to the survival of our planet and its inhabitants. It is our responsibility to protect, preserve, and cherish the beauty of nature and the resources it provides. 💚

Therefore, our journey cannot stop at simply learning ABOUT nature. We must go further by learning WITH nature to foster meaningful connections with our environment, and most importantly, learning FOR nature by taking concrete actions to preserve its vitality. Through this we can truly protect our planet's beauty and resources and ensure a sustainable future for generations to come. ✨ (learned from WWF)
