Mapapakinggan natin ang mga panel na tatalakay sa buhay at kabayanihan nina Gregoria de Jesus, Emilio Jacinto, Gregorio del Pilar, at iba pang makasaysayang Pilipino na ipinanganak din noong 1875.

DOMINGO DE RESURRECCIÓN (Easter Sunday)
Gospel Readings: Mark 16:1-8

Today, April 20, 2025, is Easter Sunday, also known as Resurrection Sunday. This Christian festival and central holiday commemorates Jesus' resurrection from the dead, which is described in the New Testament as occurring on the third day of his burial after his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary. It marks the culmination of Jesus Christ's Passion, which was preceded by the Great Lent, a 40-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday is the cornerstone of the Christian faith, representing the fulfillment of God's plan for salvation and offering believers the promise of eternal life. Easter is regarded as the most important and joyful holiday in the Christian liturgical calendar. It is time for Christians to reflect on the significance of Jesus' sacrifice and the promise of eternal life.

Prayer: Almighty and ever-living God, who through your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ has overcome death and opened unto us the gate of everlasting life: Grant that we, who celebrate with joy the day of the Lord’s Resurrection may be raised from the death of sin by thy life-giving Spirit; through the same Jesus Christ, Our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

VIERNES SANTO (Good Friday)
Gospel Readings: John 18:1-19:42

Today, April 18, 2025, is Good Friday, a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum.

For Christians, Good Friday is an important day of the year because it marked the dramatic culmination of God’s plan to save his people, Jesus' suffering and sacrifice redeemed us from our sins. And even though it was an incredibly tragic day, it was one of the greatest and most pivotal day in world history. As it says in Isaiah (53:5), "He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that made us whole, and with his stripes we are healed." That is why this Friday is called “Good.”

Prayer: Almighty Father, look with love upon your people, the love which our Lord Jesus Christ showed us. When He delivered Himself to evil men and suffered the agony of the cross, for He lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
