𝕋𝕃𝔼 𝕄𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕙 & 𝕎𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕 ℍ𝕠𝕞𝕖 𝔼𝕔𝕠𝕟𝕠𝕞𝕚𝕔𝕤 𝕄𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕙 ℂ𝕦𝕝𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝔸𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕧𝕚𝕥𝕪 𝕊𝕦𝕔𝕔𝕖𝕤𝕤𝕗𝕦𝕝𝕝𝕪 ℍ𝕖𝕝𝕕

The Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED) program successfully conducted its Culminating Activity in celebration of TLE Month and World Home Economics Month, anchored on the theme “Feeding the Future: You Are What You Eat.”

The event commenced with a Seminar on Food and Nutrition led by Mr. Ephraim Ray B. Alura, who provided essential insights on proper nutrition and healthy living. This was followed by the formal opening of the program, which included the welcome remarks delivered by Mrs. Roxan S. Afable and the presentation of the rationale by Mr. Miguel Alexander B. Lizardo.

A highlight of the celebration was the Cook-Off Challenge, where students demonstrated their culinary expertise through the preparation of the native delicacy P**o Bagol. The presentation of the guidelines and mechanics was facilitated by Mrs. Ruby Ann Glino. The activity emphasized creativity, teamwork, innovation, and the promotion of local food heritage. The cook-off entries were evaluated by distinguished judges: Hon. Mayor Atty. Louie A. Borja, Prof. Carrie Ann Padrique, and Mrs. Nenita G. Montes. Winners of the cook-off challenge were awarded immediately after the competition.

In the afternoon, the Closing Program featured the presentation of outputs from the digital contests. The winners of the Digital Poster Making and Promotional Video competitions were formally recognized during this segment. The program concluded with closing remarks delivered by Mrs. Rene Joy Amida.

The activity underscored BTLED’s commitment to fostering knowledge, skills, and values related to food, nutrition, and sustainable living—empowering students to make informed choices for a healthier future.

Working Together for Cleaner Shores: BTLED Coastal Clean-Up Initiative. 🌱

On March 13, 2026, a meaningful step toward environmental responsibility was taken as the BTLED faculty and students of Eastern Samar State University joined the coastal clean-up activity held along the shoreline of Barangay 4, Maydolong, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Maydolong led by Mayor Atty. Louie A. Borja.

This activity reflects the shared commitment of the community to protect and preserve our coastal environment. Through collective effort and simple actions like proper waste collection and shoreline clean-ups, we take meaningful steps toward maintaining the beauty and sustainability of our oceans.

Together, we continue to promote environmental awareness and responsibility for a cleaner and healthier community for the generations to come.

Kicking Off TLE Month 2026! ✨⚙️🌱

The celebration of TLE Month 2026 officially began last March 6, 2026, as the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED) opened the event with the Bazaar Ribbon Cutting and exciting ICT Contests—Digital Poster Making and Promotional Video Contest. These activities were held in line with this year’s theme, “Feeding the Future: You Are What You Eat.”

Students gathered with enthusiasm and creativity as they showcased their talents in digital arts and storytelling. Each entry reflected meaningful messages about the importance of healthy food choices, responsible consumption, and caring for our future. It was inspiring to see how technology and creativity can be used to spread awareness and promote positive change.

The opening day was filled with energy, collaboration, and learning, bringing together students, faculty, and guests to celebrate the skills and passion of every BTLED student. It truly set a positive and inspiring start for the month-long celebration of TLE.

Better late than never! ✨

Last February 13 and 20, 2026, the officers of the Technology and Livelihood Education Organization (TLEO) conducted two important leadership development seminars at Eastern Samar State University Maydolong Campus aimed at strengthening the leadership skills and organizational capacity of its officers.

The Leadership Formation and Strategic Planning Summit 2026 featured Mr. Ryan Curaming , who shared valuable insights on leadership styles and responsibilities, and Mrs. Rox An , who discussed ethics and integrity in student leadership. The activity concluded with a strategic planning session facilitated by our adviser, Rene Joy Amida, aligning the organization’s plans and vision for the year ahead.

Meanwhile, the Event Management and Organizational Workshop 2026 featured Mrs. Ruby Ann Araba , who discussed event planning and proposal writing, and Mr. Jayson P. Torillo, who shared insights on budgeting and resource allocation.

Although this post comes a little late, the lessons and experiences gained from these seminars continue to guide TLEO officers in leading with competence, unity, and integrity. 💙✨
