‎Today, July 9, the lider-kabataan and representatives of our Youth Registered Organizations under the National Youth Commission - Youth Organization Registration Program (NYC-YORP) proudly attended the 2026 State of the Municipal Address (SOMA) - Ulat sa Bayan at the Mauban Gymnasium.

‎​As dynamic partners in local governance, our active participation highlights the crucial role of Kabataang Maubanin in shaping the future of our municipality. Being present at the Ulat sa Bayan allows us to stay informed about our local government's transparency, accomplishments, and vision for the community.

ICYMI || On June 12, 2026, the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), headed by Mr. Dondi U. Decena, successfully conducted a Strategic Planning and Collaborative Meeting in preparation for the upcoming Linggo ng Kabataan celebration. The productive session brought together key stakeholders, including the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation, members of the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC), and representatives from various Registered Youth Organizations (RYOs). To ensure a meaningful and impactful week-long celebration, the attendees actively brainstormed a diverse lineup of activities centered on leadership development, environmental stewardship, mental health awareness, sports, and the arts, all carefully aligned with national youth participation goals. Beyond mapping out the logistical frameworks and budget allocations, the meeting served as a vital platform for delegating responsibilities and strengthening partnerships among the municipality's distinct youth sectors.

​The collaborative session concluded on a high note, leaving the youth leaders with a unified roadmap and a shared sense of enthusiasm. By successfully bridging the grassroots energy of local organization representatives with the institutional support of the LYDO and the SK Federation, the municipality has established a solid foundation for an inclusive and empowering event. LOOK || The Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) of Mauban conducted its first Special Meeting today, June 6, at the Camp Management Office. This meeting was called following the approval of the majority of members present during the 2nd Quarterly Meeting last May 16.

​The primary agenda was the approval of the 2026 Internal Rules of Procedure of the Local Youth Development Council of Mauban, Quezon, alongside other key matters concerning the Kabataang Maubanin.

This meeting marks a pivotal step forward for Mauban’s youth leadership. With a clearer structure and updated guidelines now in place, the LYDC is better equipped to champion the welfare and future of the Kabataang Maubanin.

ICYMI || On May 20, 2026, Ms. Ella De La Cruz—a Lider-Kabataang Maubanin and representative of PKM Ang Simbuhan—joined 200 youth delegates from Laguna and Quezon at the - May Karapatan ang Kabataan sa Kanilang Kinabukasan event held in San Pablo City, Laguna.

​The forum was organized by the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) Calabarzon, under the leadership of Regional Director Atty. Rexford Guevarra. The CHR partnered with the National Youth Commission (NYC), led by Regional Head Amerson Aguinaldo, and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), headed by Election Officer Atty. Angela Laviña, alongside various other agencies. Together, these organizations focused on empowering attendees through discussions on youth leadership, civic participation, the electoral system, and human rights advocacy.

​In summary, Ms. Ella De La Cruz's participation in the event highlights the vital role of collaboration between government agencies like the CHR, NYC, and COMELEC in empowering the next generation. ICYMI || ​On April 25, 2026, Mr. Vincent Pasatiempo—a Lider-Kabataang Maubanin, Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) member, and representative of Ang Saliwsiw—successfully completed the Cyber Youth Leadership Course: Digital Bayanihan with the theme, "Shaping Digital Patriots to Defend the Cyber Frontier." The graduation ceremony was held at the Heroes Hall, PPSC, Quezon City.

‎​The specialized program was organized by the National Youth Commission (NYC) in collaboration with the National Cyber Training Institute (NCTI) of the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC). First launched in February 2026 alongside a historic NYC-PPSC Memorandum of Agreement, the course trained Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials, LYDC and LYDO members, and youth leaders nationwide.

‎​The event was graced by NYC Chairperson, Usec. Joseph Francisco “Jeff” R. Ortega and Executive Director Leah T. Villalon. Usec. Ortega reiterated the NYC's commitment to the program, challenging the graduates to act as responsible digital citizens and guardians of cyberspace. Meanwhile, Guest of Honor and Speaker NICA Director General PLTGen Ricardo F. De Leon urged the graduates to be tomorrow's "bagong bayani" by actively solving national challenges.

‎​Backed by the administration and the intelligence community, the Cyber Youth Leadership Course will soon roll out future batches to equip more "Cyber Bayanis" to champion cybersecurity, digital responsibility, and national resilience.

The recently concluded Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) Youth Camp 2026 proved to be a resounding success for young leaders across the region. Held from May 26 to 28 at Luljetta's Garden Suites in Antipolo City, Rizal, the three-day event focused on leadership development, capacity building, and regional camaraderie.

​Among the 75 participants from various municipalities, four youth leaders from Mauban stood out as active representatives of their community and organization. Following the completion of the rigorous training, the Mauban delegation expressed their profound appreciation to the organizations and officials who sponsored and facilitated their participation. Huge thanks to the National Youth Commission (NYC) and NYC CALABARZON for organizing the summit; the Local Government Unit of Mauban, headed by Hon. Mayor Erwin Pastrana and Hon. Vice Mayor Alween Sardea, for their continuous investment in youth empowerment; and Local Youth Development Officer, Mr. Dondi U. Decena, for his dedicated mentorship.

The successful participation of Mauban’s delegates underscores the vital impact of collaborative governance in molding the next generation. Armed with new perspectives on local governance and community organizing, these young leaders return to Mauban ready to translate their training into actionable, sustainable initiatives that will benefit the kabataang Maubanin!

LYDC YOUTH CAMP DAY 2 || The delegates of the Local Youth Development Council Registered Youth Organizations of Mauban successfully completed their second day of training at the National Youth Commission CALABARZON Youth Camp 2026, today, May 27, at Luljetta's Garden Suites, Antipolo City, Rizal. The day was filled with insightful discussions and meaningful learnings that strengthened the delegates’ leadership skills and understanding of youth governance.

The session began with Ma’am Elsa Magdaleno, Presidential Staff Officer IV, who discussed the qualities of a 21st Century LYDC, highlighting the qualities of an adaptive leader.

This was followed by the session of Mr. Danilo Santos Jr., Presidential Staff Officer III, who tackled Bridging Leadership, emphasizing the role of leaders in building connections, understanding communities, and creating solutions through collaboration and unity.

For the final session, Mr. Amerson Aguinaldo, Presidential Staff Officer IV, discussed Resource Mobilization, focusing on maximizing resources, building partnerships, and sustaining youth-led programs and initiatives.

Overall, Day 2 provided valuable learnings and experiences that inspired the delegates to become more effective and empowered youth leaders in their respective communities.

LYDC YOUTH CAMP 2026 DAY 1 || Four members of the Local Youth Development Council and Registered Youth Organizations of Mauban, representing their respective organizations, joined the National Youth Commission CALABARZON Youth Camp 2026 held at Luljetta Resort from May 26–28.

The delegates are Mr. Vincent Pasatiempo, Mr. Brent Danseco, Mr. Johnny Sangcap, and Mr. David Dylan Desembrana, together with the other 71 youth representatives from across the Region.

Day 1 started with opening messages, getting-to-know-you activities, and a discussion on Positive Youth Development and its pillars. The participants also had the opportunity to interact and build connections with fellow youth leaders from across the region.

The delegates are looking forward to two more meaningful and substantial days of training and learning experiences ahead.
