“Isang Kampong Hindi Malilimutan, Pagkakaibigang Habambuhay.”

‎Ang ika-29 na Councilwide Camp ng Girl Scouts of the Philippines' Davao Oriental Council ay nagtapos sa isang makabuluhang Seremonya ng Pagsasara na ginanap sa Cateel Vocational High School Activity Center. Matapos ang tatlong araw na puno ng pakikipagsapalaran, pagkatuto, at pagkakaibigan, muling nagsama-sama ang mga Girl Scouts, troop leaders, mga opisyal ng council, at mga panauhin upang ipagdiwang ang matagumpay na pagtatapos ng kampo. Naging bahagi rin ng seremonya ang pagbabahagi ng mga karanasan, pagkilala sa mga kalahok, mga mensahe ng pasasalamat, at ang Ex*****on of Colors, na nagsilbing pormal na pagtatapos ng programa at ng buong kampo.

‎Bago tuluyang matapos ang programa, nagkaroon muna ng isang masayang pagsasayaw mula sa mga kalahok na Girl Scouts. Sa pamamagitan ng sayaw, naipakita nila ang kanilang sigla, pagkakaisa, at kasiyahan sa mga karanasang naranasan sa loob ng kampo. Ang pagsasayaw na ito ay nagbigay ng dagdag na saya at nagsilbing magandang paraan upang ipagdiwang ang pagtatapos ng tatlong araw na makabuluhang gawain.

‎Sa pagtatapos ng kampong ito, ang mga alaala, aral, at samahang nabuo ay patuloy na magsisilbing inspirasyon sa bawat Girl Scout. Sa gabay ng tema ng kampo na “Adventure Awaits: Discover, Lead and Inspire,” magpapatuloy ang paglalakbay sa pamumuno at paglilingkod. Sapagkat tulad ng kasabihan, “A Girl Scout is always a Girl Scout.”

29th Councilwide Camp Day 2 Highlights:
Girl Empowerment and Skills-Building Events

Last Saturday was a day filled with learning, empowerment, and fun. Girls took part in Basic First Aid Training, gaining essential life-saving skills, and joined the Stop the Violence Symposium. They also experienced Arnis, learning the basics of the Philippines’ national martial art while developing discipline and confidence.

The Free Being Me session promoted self-confidence and positive self-image, while the Outdoor Challenge brought everyone together through fun team-building activities that strengthened leadership, cooperation, and friendships.

It was truly a meaningful day of growth, learning, and youth empowerment.

29th Councilwide Camp:
Opening Ceremony | Day 1 Higlights ☘️

The Girl Scouts of the Philippines' Davao Oriental Council's 29th Councilwide Camp officially began with its Opening Ceremony at Cateel Vocational High School. The girls, troop leaders, council officials, and guests all got together to start this important camping trip with excitement, friendship, and the true spirit of scouting. The ceremony included the campers' entrance, the opening colors ceremony, the recitation of the Girl Scout Promise and Law, welcome messages, and the official announcement of the opening of the 29th GSP Councilwide Camp.

As Day 1 begins, the opening ceremony sets the tone for days of adventure, learning, and teamwork guided by the camp theme “Adventure Awaits: Discover, Lead and Inspire.” May this councilwide camp inspire every Girl Scout to grow as a confident leader and continue making a positive impact in the community. 💚🍀

𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫-𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡: 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

The Girl Clubs Officers and Members of Davao Oriental Girl Scout Council successfully conducted its annual year-end outreach with this year’s theme “𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏'𝒔 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒚 𝑫𝒂𝒚: 𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑮𝒊𝒓𝒍 𝑺𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑳𝒂𝒘 𝒊𝒏 𝑵𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒈 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝑴𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆” on December 27, 2025.

The girls held a fun-filled program with activities that enriched not only the minds but also the bodies of the children, instilling the values of kindness, respect, gratitude, and bravery toward oneself and one another.

After the joyous games and bursts of laughter, the celebration continued with a cheerful dance that embodied the warmth of the season, alongside the distribution of tokens and a food drive for the children, serving as a meaningful reminder that the holidays are best celebrated through shared joy and selfless giving.

Council Annual Conference and Awarding Ceremony 2025 Unites GSP Adult Leaders in Davao Oriental

The Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) Adult Leaders from across Davao Oriental gathered on April 12, 2025, at the Davao Oriental Girl Scouts Council Activity Center for the highly anticipated Council Annual Conference and Awarding Ceremony 2025 with the theme Celebrating Courage, Confidence and Character. The event served as a platform to present the Council’s financial report and to recognize the outstanding achievements of various schools representing the GSP in the province.

The ceremony opened with the solemn Girl Scout Prayer, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, led and organized by the Davao Oriental Council.

Key topics discussed during the conference included budgeting, financial management, utilization of consumed funds, and the fundamental principles of girl scouting.

Adding a fun and engaging element to the event, the adult leaders participated in lively performances of singing and dancing, which brought joy and unity among the attendees.

A highlight of the day was the Awarding Ceremony, which honored schools and individuals for their exemplary contributions to the scouting movement in Davao Oriental. Awards were presented for leadership and active participation in GSP initiatives.

The event concluded with a heartfelt message from the Council President which resonated with every leader present, “A Girl Scout is always ready.” through the values of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines.
